1688879:Alos to anyone who bought cases, how easily do you think that the case pays for itself?
Case paying for itself is easy, assuming you don't have the bad luck of not getting a plunderer. The question is, is it WORTH it to you to buy a case for breaking down, if you aren't already in the game of doing so.
Ill go with somewhat low prices, based on what i just got out of my case.
1 plunderer ($275)
2 disco balls (2x40 = $80)
23 footsteps (23x4 = $92)
Ogre Trinket from UDE points ($75)
So thats $522 right there, of the $660 i paid for my box (shipping included).
26 Epics (At least one of each)
262 Rares
~1150 uncommons
~3750 commons
288 Crafting Materials
-25 hearts
-16 heavy leather
-21 talasite
-44 wind scale
-39 primal air
-44 primal mana
-15 primal water
-48 fel steel
-21 eternium
-15 hardened adamantite
Even if I only average $1 per epic/rare, I'm ahead (which it will likely be more than that).
BUT.....assuming you are just an average joe like myself who was bored and decided to buy a case.
think about the following:
Paypal fees
eBay fees
gas to the post office / fedex / ups / wherever
shipping materials - sleeves, mailers, etc
the TIME required to sort all the cards, and manage all those ebay listings
dealing with people who say the cards never arrived
Ultimately in the end, will it truly be worth it? who knows. but its fun to tear through an entire case by yourself, even if most of it will get sold off.
