    Your guilty pleasures in deckbuilding

Anyone have those things you do in WoW that you just KNOW you shouldn't, but you do it anyway?  Like you always play a certain hero that you know will get stomped, or you always try to fit in a certain card that just shouldn't be in there?

I know I always have to stop my brain whenever the phrase "Now if I add Greatfather Winter..." runs through it. :(

Hi, I love to make decks that are fun to play and you don't really make a good deck in a tournament. I'm not a competitive player so meh. If you want to have fun, just do it.

I just made a Bitterstar deck that was built around paper airplane/snowball and a whole bunch of interrupt cards, with only hero ability and fireball to deal damage. It actually was a lot of fun to play and almost won with it. (It was a one-man army kind of deck, no allies!)

I've made a 100 card mage deck that was centered around drawing and dropping Arcane Guardian.  Record is swinging for 71.  It got 2nd place in a tourney once. :x

Re: Your guilty pleasures in deckbuilding

I always feel the need to fit in "removal allies", even if they don't really fit the deck. I just hate having my removal be a dead card against certain decks, so i'll have decks that have no allies except for 4 tatullas and 3 confessor mildreds, or perhaps 4 chippers and 3 moira darkhearts.

Which also explains my infatuation with druid decks, AKA 4x natural order

Re: Your guilty pleasures in deckbuilding

I won't build a deck unless it has some sort of guilty pleasure in it. Here are a few in no particular order:

~Steelsmith Joseph Carroll (great momentum, but some decks weren't meant to be equipment heavy)
    ~Rallying Shout/Wisp
~Hauberk of Desolation/Galway Steamwhistle (Jank City)
~Eredar Wand of Obliteration (meant for Unstable Affliction)
~Crown of Destruction (too slow for today's game, IMO)
    ~Gear Upgrade

Re: Your guilty pleasures in deckbuilding

I like to draw cards, so I generally make decks revolving around card draw.

I also like denial, so I like to name all my decks 'DrawGo'.

I'm stuck on trying to get a Solo Enhancement Shaman to work or playing Morn Salts-The-Land. Though I do have a tendency to try another deck here and htere soley for the use of art. . .

Coincidentally, i also try to work certain allys in simply for the artwork they have is so well done. I like my decks to look pretty .. .

Leeroy Jenkins is my guilty pleasure.

I know it's a Myriam Stall Deck, but Leeroy makes it better, right? Right?
