For collectibilty sake I would hope that the distribution levels would be semi-equal (epics are fine) I just don't want 48 gnome rogue commons.

oh come on... Now you know someone is going to have to start collecting the common gnome rogue when it comes out.

    "what are you playing with?"

"My Indestructible Gnome Rogues...all 48 of them."

    Don't be a Gnome hater.

Then its probably as i mentioned (= ie no standart c\u\r\e ... and just bare heroes + some epic creatures (1 in 8 boosters\deluxe starters).

Well, we now know that there will be 6 epics in the first set.  With that information I would tend to think that there is going to be at least 3 tiers of rarity and probably 4.  ...you know, IMHO and all...

    Re: rarity breakdown?

You can almost bet on there being C/U/R/E levels of rarity, just like the MMO and card game.

It would make more sense to make the commons all figures we would desire multiples of, like the Bog Monster, Murlocs, etc.  Uncommons could be utlity heroes, and rares could be very good heroes.  The epics should be extremely powerful, costly to play (in terms of honor or points or whatever) and dfficult, but not impossible to defeat.

Regarding collectability, pursuing and trading for rares is part of the fun, as long as things do not get out of hand.  Collect what you feel comfortable getting and let the rest go.

    Re: rarity breakdown?

I am actually guessing 3 rarities. My reasoning being there are only 3 figures per pack and the figures are larger than normal, so there is no real need to make a common and uncommon slot. I think it will be two commons and 1 rare/epic per pack. Though i would prefer 1 rare 1 common and 1 common/epic per pack I doubt we will be so lucky.

Also UDE has commented on not liking games where you got tons of the useless commons, and were trying to focus on making each piece a quality playable piece, so we will see.

    Re: rarity breakdown?

Pointless thread. We already know 1/8 will contain an epic. That's your rarity scale, enjoy.

    Re: rarity breakdown?

Perhaps its silly but I feel compelled to defend this thread as not being "pointless" (after all, I started this thread)

1/8 does absolutley no good if you don't know how many epics there will be total.  If there were 15 epics (as there is in SWMs) then you would be looking at buying 120 boosters versus the 48 boosters we now know we would have to buy to get all the epics (assuming no duplicates, or a good trade network).  Also, I think alot of people are interested in how many rares/uncommons/commons and whether or not there will, in fact, be rares/uncommons/commons.  Actually, I would go so far to say that is "pointless" to state "We already know 1/8 will contain an epic" without further information (as you have so astutely pointed out to us).

Thats all I have to say about that.

    Re: rarity breakdown?

The real fact of the matter is that there is no other information. Speculation and the like does no good at all. I have no idea if they will use C/U/R, nor do you, so why not wait and see. I'm just as excited as everyone else here for this game, but trying to figure the game out in your head before the information is given to you is silly and utterly pointless.

    Re: rarity breakdown?

Speculation is half the fun for me and I now know how much I need to save for when it does get released, based on the epic rarity breakdown.
