Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.0
Is this the final rules version for worlds? I would like to print up and bind a booklet and bring it to worlds.

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.0
Thanks for the reply Moorf :) Also a couple of other questions...I should probly already know the answer to this one but i cant draw a conclusion on it for some reason.. If there is a Withering Shout in play, and opponent plays a Chipper, i know the Chipper will die immediatly, but can that player add his power to the chain to destroy something? Same question for any 1 health ally, do their CIP effects get processed when they die? And can we get something official on the quest Mission: The Abyssal Shelf. The question about it is posted here . Thanks again.. you da man :)

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.0
Withering Shout will cause "Chipper" Ironbane to be destroyed before his controller gets the opportunity to use his power.
However, any powers that trigger off of something entering play will still trigger and be added to the chain after the ally is destroyed.

Hi Gamer,
This is the final rules version for Worlds, so print and bind away!
Barkskin has received an entry in the updated FAQ, but the corresponding clarification won't be appearing in an updated comprehensive rules doc until we have accumulated some more updates (i.e. some time after Worlds).
Thanks, PR
P.S. See the following post for the Barkskin entry plus answers to other questions raised in this thread:

Re: Interupting an attack?
1968094:Hi all Im a little new to the game, started on Motl and tbh its confusing as hell :( so many "bad" wordings on cards.
The question i have is actualy regarding a card from the Molton core raid but could jsut as easly apply to any other format and is this; One of the cards is worded "instant abbility" (cost irrelivent) "interupt target ability, ally or equipment". does this apply only to the summon of the ally or to the declaration of its attack/effect or both? the ally,s effect is a continuas one that increases his attack for each resource you have.
well thats all heheh thanks
For reference, here's the official definition of interrupt: CR 2.0:Interrupt (711): A link that is interrupted gets removed from the chain and does nothing. If that link is a card, it’s put into its owner's graveyard. If a link is interrupted, the entire text of the link is interrupted. Interrupted links don’t create modifiers, put cards into play, or affect the game in any way. After a link is interrupted, the turn player gets priority. A link can’t interrupt itself.
So, interrupting an ally card will only affect it while it is still on the Chain, thus while it is being played (what you call summoning).

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.1
Moorf:413.8b A card in an RFG zone is face up and public, unless it was removed by a modifier that specified that it was removed “face down,” or removed while it was a face-down resource. In both cases, it remains face down in that RFG zone, and only its owner may look at it. A face-down card is effectively blank—it has no name, type, tags, or text—while in an RFG zone. If a face-down card from an RFG zone enters play, it enters play as a face-down resource.
Interesting. So no more Imp Mistress/RFGed resource shenanigans.

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.1
NEW:
101.1 Each player needs a deck and starts the game with a hero in play. Players then use a random method to determine who will choose the player to go first. Before starting the first turn, each player shuffles his or her deck, and then puts the top seven cards into hand.
OLD (well, not the 2.01 version, but you'll get the point):
101.1 Each player needs a deck and starts the game with a hero in play. Players then use a random method to determine who will choose the first player to take a turn. Before starting the first turn, each player shuffles his or her deck and then presents it to an opponent, who cuts and/or shuffles it. Each player then draws an opening hand of seven cards.
Does this mean that a player may now refuse to let his opponent cut his deck?

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.1
Lol...no. You must still present your deck to your opponent before you get your 7 cards...

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.1
oh yeah, I missed that one:
413.4b Any time a player shuffles a deck, he or she must then offer it to an opponent to cut and/or shuffle. Any time a player searches a deck, that deck's owner shuffles it after that search. Decks are always shuffled and cut face down.
I made a "diff" between the new and the old CR and noticed that the part about cutting was removed, of course it didn't account for the fact that it was already covered somewhere else in the rules :D

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.1
I have a question and maybe someone can point me to the rule where its explicitly says I can't do this but I haven't found it yet.
Can I have one hero for game 1 and then in my SB have a different hero?
Are hero cards able to be sideboarded?
Again I'm not sure what the legality of this is but I know instinctly that when you fill out a registration sheet it is implied you are playing one hero only. But it would be nice to know if you could side in another hero as long as your deck is legal in every other way.

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.1
The hero is not part of the deck or the side deck. So, you cannot swap out your hero while accessing your side deck. Comprehensive Rules:100.1
The minimum deck size for Constructed play is 60
cards. The minimum deck size for Sealed Pack play is 30 cards. There is no
maximum deck size. Decks can’t include hero cards.

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.22
* Locations are a new card type, so they get their own set of rules (307) and are also responsible for the following updates:
300.1 There are eight card types: ability, ally, armor, hero, item, location, quest, and weapon
410.6g During PPP, each player who controls more than one location must choose one and turn the rest face down
--
* Master Heroes, while technically not a new card type, are still
kind of a big deal, so they also get their own rules (301.4) as well as
these updates:
What happens with the Cypher of Damnation if you reveal Illidan?
Pay 3 to complete this quest. Reward: Reveal the top two
cards of your deck. If they have different card types, put both into
hand. Otherwise, put both on the bottom of your deck.
~
Best ranking at weekly draft : 4th (5 showed up and I got a bye :D) Number of weekly drafts : 44 and counting. 0-4 drop at worlds (pairings suck) Once won a game in DMF, my opponent didn't show up.
