Anyone aware of the current state of bay area WoW?  It's been a little hard to find a regular game.

I assume he's asking where.  Pleasenton Sports Cards is the place you're talking about.  I went there once a long time ago (it's a bit of a drive for me, but I had a free saturday and the itch to play).  Can you confirm that you're tourneys are sanctioned?

I have a chance to Q for worlds, but I'd like a better option than driving to LA for a regionals (which I feel lame for even considering) & I have no way of being sure that the one Bay Area regional between now and Nov 20th will be enough honor for me.  Sadly there's not a lot of options for us in the Bay Area right now.  But I think if I can hit one sanctioned tourney a week with the South San Francisco Regionals this month & the MotL Pre-Release Nov 17 (on the cascade games site) I think my chances are pretty good.

If anyone knows of weekly sanctioned tournies happening in the Bay Area please let me know.

    1st place Berkeley Regionals 8/25/07
    Worlds finish 60th.

Game Kastle in Santa Clara is no longer doing WoW games, according to their event schedule. Might want to contact them to double-check.

We have a really good chance of Sanctioning this Saturday at 1:30. A few kids have picked up the game and said they would be up for a tourney this Saturday. With the 3 of us who are more hardcore, plus a couple of kids, we should be on for this Saturday.

BTW: Did you play at the South SF 9/15 Regionals? It doens't look liek the results for that one have been entered yet.

I also would like to know if any other tournament play is going on in the Bay Area. I've also found out that Who's on 1st doesn't run WoW tourneys on Sundays any more.

    Cheers.

    fanmanu,

I should see you this Saturday then.

And no I wasn't able to attend the 9/15 regionals.  I work a lot of weekends and this one in particular I couldn't miss.

Re: Bay Area Calendar - Regular WoW TCG Play

I'm in the process of getting set up to run some tournaments at my store, Comics Conspiracy, in Sunnyvale. I've got about 4 casual players interested, so if anyone else wants to show up, that would be great! I think our first game will be in November, we'll be doing one a month. We're not really a gaming store, but I do love the game, and we've got a few customers who want to play, so I'm doing it for them (and me!). I'll post again once it's official and we have a date (I'm thinking Sun, Nov 4th).

If you're talking about q'ing by honor, then the MotL release event won't help.  The cut off for auto-invites is October 30th, so the ratings and honor you earn from any sanctioned events you play after that date won't count towards your honor rating.  Your best bet is to just play in as many sanctioned events as possible over the next 4 weeks, and every regional within driving distance.  Regionals count for quite a lot of honor, even more if you do well.

edit: nm, I just noticed it was Nov20th

Re: Bay Area Calendar - Regular WoW TCG Play

I will be there on Saturday as well.  On a related note, I'm looking for a couple of copies of a few Fires of Outland commons.  If anyone has any extra for sale, trade, or just that they want to get rid of, I'd appreciate it if they brought them.

    I need:

    2x Pick Pocket

    2x Jacknife

    Thanks.

Thanks to both of you for playing yesterday.

We had 6 players. Lots of fun.

BTW: David, you were right about the sudden death 3rd game procedure. 4 turns - two turns each.

    Cheers.
