Anyone playing WOW in the North Bay?  I'm in Santa Rosa, but I can't make it to the every-other-Saturday tournaments at Outer Planes.  I'd be down to drive a little bit if you're not in Santa Rosa, but in the nearby area..

    Berkeley - Eudemonia, 6pm, Draft tournament, Entry fee $11, 4 packs, www.eudemonia.net

    Show up!!!

    Dublin - Who's On 1st Games, 1:00 pm Sanctioned Constructed Tournament, www.whoson1st.org

They also draft after the constructed if there is enough people. Show up!!!

The only way a game like this continues to be a success is when people play and show up at events like this.

I finally updated the page with new tournaments and special events.  Hope you'll all head on out and support your local store by playing in some fun tournaments.

I'm gonna have to decide which of my new post-TtDP decks to play with.  So far I've got initial versions of a Human Paladin, Night Elf Rogue, and two Orc Hunter decks.

No one shows up at vallco on saturdays anymore for casual play, so that is pretty much over.

Ok, I'll remove it then.  Sorry you have trouble getting players in.  Fortunately there are other places you can go play on the weekends.

What are the best places to go for a relatively new player? I'm moving to SF in a week and want to get a heads up. Drafting with scm is about the only "competitive playing" I've done outside a few close friends - and I'm not terrible or anything, just new to tcg stuff and would like to go someplace that is welcoming to that sort of thing.

Both the stores in Berkeley have new players all the time.  At least they did when I was playing a lot (been out of it for almost a month).  I would suggest those stores, Games of Berkeley and Eudemonia, as good places for beginning players.  I've never played at the stores in San Francisco.  Don't know what they're like.

There are WoW Battlegrounds every other week currently at Cards and Comics Central in SF. Their info is located here: http://www.candccentral.com/ It is relatively small at the moment so it's always looking for new players to come by. Their next scheduled event is on 7/7 at 3PM so come on down if you're looking for some new WoW competition in SF.

Re: Bay Area Calendar - Regular WoW TCG Play

I've hit most of the SF/Eastbay places the last couple of weeks:

Cards and Comics Central: Not sure if the above poster is from the store or just plays at it, but the last two times I went to their bi-weekly constructed WoW event, I was the *only* person there. They have basically 0 wow singles to sell. Ultimately, unless something has changed, seemed dead.

Eudamonia: Draft on tuesday usually gets a good number, but crowds have been dying recently. Went from a consistent 8-10 to 4-5 the last 2-3 weeks. Summer is driving everyone away!

Games of Berkeley: Draft on thursday officially dead I believe. Stopped in 3 weeks in a row with no more than 1-2 people there.

Re: Bay Area Calendar - Regular WoW TCG Play

Seems everytime I think I'm done with this game I keep coming back hehe. Anyways the Bay Area thread hasn't been updated in a long time. I am wondering if the stores listed on the first page of this thread still hold regular events and what times/days and how attendance has been at them. I know that at Cards and Comics Central in SF, we used to have a fairly regular attendance but pretty much dried up except for events like pre-release and release celebrations.

So any Bay Area players still alive out there? :)
