Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

It's not necessarily that they have to have judged events previously (though that is a question they ask), it's just that you only take it at an event.  Generally speaking, they want you to be judging in that event as well.  They do it to make sure that people that test are serious about judging instead of just looking for creds to put in their sigs.

    Hope this helps!

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

Hi,I got the following message after I took my test:

Thank you for submitting your test!

Your results will be emailed to both your primary and secondary email addresses that you filled out on your UDE membership card. It may take up to one week to receive your results. If you do not receive an email with your results please email judge@upperdeck.com for assistance. Be sure to include your name and UDE number.

Is that means I have passed? if yes,I didn't find the "Profile" location for confirming I have the certificate.

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

If you failed, then it would tell you that right away.  You have passed the LV1 test!  Congratulations!

You will find your certification specialties in your profile.  If you click on the "Edit Membership" link on the left side of the screen on the Organized Play website, it will take you to your profile, which will list your certfications above your name.

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you Kyhotae

But I checked My profile, with no items under specialization section.
Is that means the test i took is not being reported?

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

I took the test on Monday night. I got an email on Wednesday that reported that I passed, and I just checked my UDE account now and see the specialization mentioned. It looks like it's currently taking a couple days to get processed, so if you recently took the test, give it two or three days and it should show up.

Posts earlier in this thread, I think, have said that you get an immediate email if you fail.

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

Actually, you don't even get an email.  As soon as you submit the test, it tells you that you failed.

    Hope this helps!

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

Hi everyone. I was reading the posts here and it led me to the Email address and ultimately the UDE number to try and be a judge. (There's a lot of ppl at my local store that don't follow the rules, or make them up as they go and I wanted to certify as a judge so that someone can uphold the order) Needless to say, i passed, and I was wondering how does someone put Level 1 Judge in their profile on this thing. Do you just type it in and hope ppl know, or will there be a link that will show up sometime. Thanks guys...

PS - for Level 2, you HAVE to be at a tourney to take the test?

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

As soon as you pass the Lv1 test and it's processed, your UDE Organized Play profile will show your certification.  If you're talking about putting it in your Forum Profile here, then you can add it yourself.

The level 2 test is only given in person by UDE representatives for now.  Usually, at major premiere events (like the upcoming Darkmoon Faire or Shonen Jump Championships).  They usually only give the test to those that work the events, but I've heard of others taking it.  It's all up to the UDE rep that gives it.

    Hope this helps!

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

Hi kyohtae, I was wondering if UDE is going to reward WoW judges maybe giving them something every year like EAs and stuff for judging tournys. Coz I think in VS they give judges something every year?

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

    Um.  Hi!

I don't know if they're going to give anything to active judges.  As you have pointed out, they do give out stuff to active judges in Vs.  I also know that they give out stuff to active judges in Yu-Gi-OH!  It is probably safe to assume that they will do the same with WoW TCG, however, I have no way to confirm that, nor do I know what they would be giving out.

I guess time will tell.  ;-)

    Hope this helps!

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

Just a quick side bar on being a Judge. Having the rules knwoledge is only a single part of the bigger picture. People skills, being level headed, having an can do attitude, professionalism and many other personality traits seem just as important. Since August of last year I have either floor judged or head judged 17 events and I'll tell you this, it's alot of work and it's alot of fun if you love being around the game. Passing the lv 1 is a great starting point and good luck to all.

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

Earlier in the thread it was mentioned that sometimes the only way to take the level 2 (and presumably the 3-5 tests if they exist yet) is not only to be present at the larger shows, but also to work said shows.

In the past I've worked shows like GenCon for other organisations (RPGA, for example) - if/when UDE is looking for judges to work such shows, how do they go about finding them?  Is it invitational?  Are there posts made to the forums?

Would like to know so I can consider my options for the coming con season and try to decide who I want to volunteer for accordingly.  :)

Re: Becoming a Certified WoW Judge

Finally,i found someone who can help me in this game!!!!

I am a begginer in this game but i played lots of Card game before.

I have few questions that made me confused while learning to play WoW TCG!!! By the way, i'm from Philippines.

    My questions are:

    1. What is "Flip"? How can i use a hero with "flip" power?

    2. What i am supposed to do if i want to change my weapon and other items? Should i destroy and put another weapon or i will just wait for my opponent to destroy it?

3.How many allies i am allowed to put in play? Is it limited to 5 or any number i want  to?

That's all for now, but i still have questions to you guys. Hope you can help!!!

    Thanks a lot in advance!!!
