I have been playtesting with 3 friends.  It's greatly increased our chances at regionals.  At least, that's the hope.

I definitely recommend finding a group if you can.

South County(san jose, gilroy, morgan hill, hollister and beyond) players looking for a tournament?

Anime 101 will be hosting it's first ever WoW card game tournament on March 31st at 1pm. This will be a swiss style tournament for constructed decks.  The entry fee is $5 which also gets you a booster pack. EB Games of Gilroy has donated some WoW T-shirts for prize support and were working on more.

Directions to our store can be found on our website at http://anime-101.com.

    See you there.

Hey everyone. My name is Dan Barreiro (usdan22@yahoo.com) and I was curious if there are any more local shops that host WoW Tournaments that are a bit closer to me. I'm located on the edge of Walnut Creek/Concord, so I just wanted to let people know that I'm interesting in hooking up to play test or get involved in some tournaments.

I usually go to Whos on 1st in Dublin on Sundays, but I haven't been able to lately. It's close to half hour-40 minute drive so it isn't very local to me. Who's on 1st is an awesome place to play WoW, so I'm interested if there are other places that can host WoW games like they can.

      Someone let me know! Thanks!

Anime 101, will this tournament be a weekly event?  I'm not sure if I should add you to the calendar on page 1 as a weekly or a one time event.

Dan, I would try coming into Berkeley.  We have drafting and people playing for fun on Tuesdays at Eudemonia and Thursdays at Games of Berkeley.  No regular constructed tournaments in Berkeley yet except the once a month tournie at Eudemonia.  Anyway, Berkeley shouldn't be too far from Walnut Creek and both stores are a minute away from the Berkeley BART station.  It's pretty easy to get here.  Come check it out.

Re: Bay Area Calendar - Regular WoW TCG Play

    Hey guys,

Things have been getting pretty crowded for Sunday, so I'm not sure if we can continue on Sunday afternoon for WoW.

Currently we are scheduled for Sundays at 1:30.

So, is there another day or time that people would like to play?

I usually am cleaning on Mondays, but if people want to play that time then I can work that in.

Let me know what you think. We are always willing to work with players to find a best fit for times.

Mondays I am often here late, so it is not a big deal to make it simple a tournament time.

I didn't see your thread before.  That's a nice post you made.  I will add a link to it to the Bay Area Calendar, if you don't mind.

I doubt anyone will do Marquee events in the Bay Area this weekend.  The Bay Area's Pre-Release tournament for Through the Dark Portal is this Saturday, the 31st, in San Jose.  I imagine most stores will wait to do Marquee events until another weekend.  Stores can decide which week of the month to do Marquee events, this past weekend was only the recommended time.

Anyway, I don't know for sure, but that's what I was thinking.
