An NDA, eh? They have every right to protect thier property and I'm not saying it's wrong (or that people should break it), but if someone were to spoil a card early UDE would have to get their legal team to go through the process of proving tangible losses due to the leaked information along with suing what would probably amount to someone who wouldn't have enough money to cover the losses anyway.  Again, they're well within their rights; I just find it funny that they're scaring the writers now with legal action.  What's next, banning from the game?

One day their marketing department will figure out that leaking cards to people generates more buzz than a sanitized article on thier website.

Since Jack get previews cards to showcase on Zapped Giants, and would probably like to keep getting said cards, it's in his best interest to abide by his NDA

ZG gets the same preview cards that all non-official UDE sites (us, info gathering, wowtcgplayer) get. (not counting the german site).

    None.

While I personally think the is a big mistake, as reaching out to the community could only be good for the game, it is how they have done things ever since some early previews were ripped by outside sites, making them look bad.

edit - unless that is changing with some of the new personnel in there.  In which case scrubs is anxiously awaiting its preview card.

To be incredibtly technical, if there are two abilities in the graveyard, you cannot say there is an ability there - an ability is exactly one.

I'm not even sure I'll want to use a 1-drop that prevents me from using Marksman Glous, is only slightly better than average only when you meet a specific graveyard condition, and will rarely will be a good turn 1 play.  We have seen 3 Nerubians so far, counting the Sneak Preview EA, and none of them have yet convinced me to ditch the beloved Aldor.

I imagine all the rules hubbub is just wishful thinking from those who would like if it was some sort of mini-Spelunker.

I'm under the impression that may have changed (what with recent changes in staffing) but no site that presents itself in english currently has a preview card.

Zapped Giants - UK Community Site

I definitely DID NOT attend a Season 4 Realm Champs. Ever. At all. Honestly.

That would be good news indeed.  It may even get me to writing regularly again for scrubs if they started to show any interest in helping out the community.

Hopefully we can at least get one more fantasy tournament in before the end of the year.

If you have multiple allies in your GY, it will satisfy the the 'while an ally is in your GY' and he will get the +1/+1.

    Cheers.

I've signed an NDA with UDI, which means I can't talk about anything in Scourgewar

Having been under NDA with a bunch of games from a bunch of games companies it's pretty standard procedure.  If somebody DID get access and then decide to leak it all and it was found to have a negative impact on sales then it would be gross incompetence of any employee that failed to ensure the NDA was in place before they revealed trade secrets.

It's not exactly "Oooh big scary UDE threatening the helpful writers" it's more like "business as usual, there's nothing to see here".

Actually, they've never done NDAs in the past, at least not with the writers as far I know.  And they are far more protective of their property than you would be lead to believe; can't have honest critique of thier product or be in English to get previews apparently.  Just as an example, I requested an interview with a developer to post on our site and was told the only way it would happen is through someone else who would be 'approving' all questions and content.  Even then, there was no chance it would ever be a 'live' interview.  I mean, what a joke.  I can see wanting to look over the interview after the fact and asking for certain content to removed, but to not even have access to the development staff is just stupid imo.  Last time I checked, the major gaming magazines aren't knocking down UDE's door for interviews.  Their iron-curtin, sanitize everything attitude is a joke and an insult to everyone who puts in effort to keeping this game going outside of the 'approved' channels.

    -Jeff-
