It seems pretty much that once people caught on to the power of velen and pals on Friday, there was somewhat of a mass conversion. We certainly gave it a hard look, but in the end, decided that morts or hht would still be stronger. I was trying to run jank in solemn protest to the highy uniform meta on Sunday, and going down in flames as a result, but I guess some of you guys thought it was still just a variant anyway! :cP

To be honest, I was thinking of running Tyrande, Savin and Irana.  But I wasn't sure if it would work or not.  When I looked at the qualifiers, we saw the Velen band qualifying.  BB and I had come across it a while ago.  We pondered on whether to play it or not.  Since I like paladins and greatly dislike Warlocks, I decided to try this team.

I am very comfortable with these pieces so the adaptation was easier for me.  However, I had never played Triple locks with Jhuroons before.  That game was pretty close.  But it was fun.

    Looking forward to Gencon.  :)

I was watching your semifinal match pretty closely until i had to leave to catch my bus, and it was definitely close.  I think if you had crited after rerolling 2 hits from the hill and wrath of air totem, the game might have turned out very differently.  Poszgay is pretty good though, wouldn't you say?

By the way, did I tell you I ran Tyrande on Sunday?  It was terrible though, but that's what happens when you go with a spontaneously silly idea you had while taking the subway into the convention center.

Definitely, had I critted, the game would've turned out differently.  But that's the way things go and you have to accept them.  I mean, after I triple-critted on FoL against Corle, I have to accept crits not rolling my way.  :)

And yes Pozsgay is pretty good.  The final score was 18 to 23.  It was a fun match.

If you want to know just how good Michael Poszgay is as a warlock pilot, out of the 11 Velen VS Mortimer matches of the weekend, only 4 were won by Mortimer and at least two of those had Poszgay as the Mortimer pilot (one was Jason Tian vs me, I haven't dug up the fourth match).
