I joined earlier this week and have been reading through some of the threads.  My wife bought me a couple of starter decks and a bunch of boosters cause she knew I wanted to get into this game.  I have gone through the interactive demo but probably need to do that again.

I am new to the game, and never played Magic or any TCG before, so any advice you can give me would be great.

Absolutely. The restrictions are simply for building the deck, not playing against other people. Think of it as a duel. You are allowed to duel your own faction.

Any of those classes can be viable. However, warlock and shaman are doing better at tournaments, with shaman having the edge. But, those are very specific builds of each class. That doesn't make the class inherently better or worse.

I started buying these cards recently and built up a decent collection. I also got one of those Heroes of Azeroth starter boxes which had an Alliance druid deck that I'm trying to enhance with what I have in my collection thus far.

Anyways, I'm glad to be here and I hope one day to actually get to play and see how my deck works.
