Hmm, It seems like DoTs and HoTs will go off at the end of turn 5 and turn 10.  I guess that is acceptable.

Hmm... which one would have priority?

    Re: Golden

Good question. I'm betting on priority by character turn-order. Did anyone who was at the preview see something like that come up?

    Re: Golden

He's got some interesting stats.  11 health, 2 armor and 2 resist.  He's definitely an excellant character, but to give up 8 VPs, and cost 10 honor?  He doesn't seem much tougher to kill than a regular warrior.  So you'll have to have some type of plan to keep him alive.  He's got to kill 2.5 guys to pay for his honor cost.

I for one am very happy that the legendary characters aren't super over-powered.  They look promising, but not game warping.

    Re: Golden

The Death coil tick cost is 1.

The Doom tick cost is 1.

As for Varimathras survival, he can be killed, but with a druid and some backup, before being dispatched, he will have dispatched at least 2 other minis.  He doesn't look that hard to bring down, but we did a small test, and with the right support, he can last a whole game without being brought down.

    Re: Golden

Wow, those are some low tick costs.

With his vampiric aura, I assume he heals 2 from death coil, 1 from the card it self, one from his aura.

Does his deathbolt volley damage Varimathras as well?  I assume he counts as a character in play.  Kind of interesting he could end up taking himself out, who get's VPs in that situation?

    Re: Golden

Without precise wording, and the comprehensive rules, it's difficult to tell what exactly triggers vamp aura (ie his crit effect?). I'm pretty sure that death coil is not 'attack damage' though.

    Re: Golden

The Death coil does not provide an additional heal because the card is not listed as an attack and vampiric aura specifically stipulates that you need to deal attack damage to benefit from the heal.

I agree. Try to hide ruby within the terrains and/or behind Vindicator. Since Gorebelly has a very weak Resistance, you can have Ruby throw all her attack and Fire Blast all at the same time on the orc. And if you're up on the hill, you get to reroll 2 of your dice.

And yes, going first would really mean a lot.

I actually found the exact opposite.  Out of 6 games last night I one shot'd the priest with Ruby 4 times after that Gorebelly goes down quick.  Charge is really nice, but giving Vindicator a ranged attack with Hammer of Wrath for a killing blow is sick.  USE THE TERRAIN!  It's such a big help, especially with the casters.  However, if you play any arena style (when they're dead, they're dead) that's when Horde shines Gorebelly just rips them apart with taunt and getting regular heals from the priest.
