So, could we Finns get 16 or even 8 slots too:). After all, we have bigger gaming community than many of the countries listed, like Estonia or Denmark. I hope it is just a mistake Finland is not listed there.

Just two quick infos for the European Nationals:

    1. Now Top 16 of all Tier 1 and 2 countries will qualifiy for the Worlds.
Tier 1 include: Australia, France, Germany, Italy and UK.
Tier2 include: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

    2. There's a list of all European players available, that are qualified for their respective Nationals based on Yearly and Lifetime Honor Ranking.

Players that qualified for their Nats based on Honor Rankings

Just search (CTRL+F) for your UDE number.

If this is the true, i am opening champagne in Paris since three of us from Croatia already booked flights.
Now, we only need to know when our Nationals is gonna take place and prize stricture :). Guy that is in charge here as local distributor still didnt get any info from EU UDE office (mail auto response: on vacations). Hope well know more soon.

Unfortunately I got the wrong list from UDE for classifying the countries into the tiers. Following are correct for the World of Warcraft TCG:

Tier 1: Germany, France and Italy
    Tier 2: UK and Spain

Above countries will qualify the Top 16 of their respective Nationals for the Worlds in Paris.

    Sorry for the confusion.

I don't understand why The Netherlands doesn't get a top 16 Q's for the Worlds. We've had a DMF Winner, a few very good results in other DMF's (second place in the DMF in Antwerp).

So let's hope this get's corrected.

The point is that such facts are completely irrelevant to how many invites a country gets. The only things I see considered is the total size of the market for the specific country and the expected turnout for the tournament. And believe me, top 16 q's for a ~50-60-man tournament is quite frankly a bit too much, even though top 8 q's may be a bit too few. Not that I wouldn't want top 16 Q's for Dutch Nats (and every other European Nats as far as I'm considered), of course, just want to say that your idea of why Q's are distributed the way they are and 'correcting' them is probably quite off.

It's entirely down to the consumer market and expected attendence, as Erik said. Basically, if you can hit 75+ players guarenteed you'll get 16 invites. And remember to buy from local sources and not the US.

Since you have juicy info, can you post link with all Tiers for Euro countries and prize structure for each. Would be very grateful, and buy you a drink in Paris for this :) Thanks
