I would be soooooo much happier if Paladin did really well instead of Runetusk.

    Cheers.

After taking a look at this list I would hope this is not whats going to rule the new format because if so it kind of makes me sad. At first SotB brought all this new life to the game...  Then as we progressed decks started to drop off the map in favor of rush and discard...  And now we are back to stall paladin...

Even if Paladin does win, HFI becomes legal a month after that, before any further major events.

At which point everyone will declare Red Pally dead just before it sweeps the summer Nationals season. :P

Draws: what are the pros and cons for this?

    Cons :
    - It's easy to agree on a draw when it serves both players.

Why did UDE didn't allow draws?

There may only be one 'Con' for allowing draws, but it's a very big Con.  the final 2 rounds of major events become draw-fests at large tables and no one plays out their matches. If you start of 5-0 in a 7 round tournament, you don't have to try to win one of your last 2 matches to make it top to 8, you simply draw twice in a row and secure a spot at 6th or 7th place.  It just makes it that much harder to make top 8 if you lose early, and it's kind of lame to see everyone at the top tables not even playing their matches in the final round or two.

End of time wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't "first change of life" to decide the victor.  They should play it like baseball and give the other player the same number of turns to see if they can come up with a response.

Yeah, as it is, Game 3 sudden death basically asks the question 'who is on the play?' and awards that player the match win.

Re: Cheaty Face Deck for Seattle Leaked to the Internet

Runetusk may be boring, but at least it's a deck built with a legitimate "timely" win condition.

Paladin stall decks are basically reactive; they sit and wait for your move, then counter, then counter again until you have no more plays.  Sure this is a strategy, but not a viable one within the context of the game rules given the fact that you only have 60 minutes to play 3 matches.  I think lay on hands abuses end of match procedures and should be changed, but that's just my opinion.

Honestly, having played against the Aleyah build, I found that it's not as stallish as the previous Paladin builds and had specific win conditions to end the games in a reasonable amount of time.  The synergies going on with Ras'Fari were more powerful than I had first realized.

Your saying Runetusk is boring, look at paladin. Still, I prefer paladin.
