alright well guys if you really want to see a picture of the playmat and deckbox even though i have already posted the image once or twice, go here otherwise yea  i am buying one case for myself and i am also going to purchase one of these bundles but the bundle isnt set to release until december around the time of NAXX raid release, plus i may be paying for a guy to play in the sealed event so 6 packs there

Holy crud, they REALLY outdid themselves on the playmats and deckboxes this set; just amazing.  The playmat collector in me is also glad the one in the epic set is different from the sneak peak one.

So. Um. Is the playmat and deck box the same one that you can win at the sneakpeak event? If so might not buy the set and just get a couple boxes of boosters. I learned not to buy 5 like i did with FOH... so many cards sitting around unloved.

Maybe i am missing something - i saw only 4 cards, and everybody saying the set is good, can you share what you know ?

Re: How much Scourgewar you buyin'?

This set is definitly looking to  be awsome.

I'm definitly buying less of it then i did of FoH.  I ended up with close to 3 cases of FoH once all was siad and done (no i didn't buy it all.)  I'm probably going to buy a couple boxes, draft a bunch, and then do the judging some more.

Lately I been getting 1 or 2 boxes on release then drafting the singles I need.

I will buy a few singles that I really like at a store if I can or online if I must.

With no constructed events I can be more conservative then usual.

Re: How much Scourgewar you buyin'?

These discussions always remind me of this:

Mr. Turkentine: Charlie Bucket? How many Wonka bars did you open?
    Charlie Bucket: Two.
Mr. Turkentine: That's easy. 200 is twice 100...
Charlie Bucket: Not 200, just two.
Mr. Turkentine: [disgusted] Two? What do you mean you only opened two?
Charlie Bucket: I don't care that much for chocolate.
Mr. Turkentine: Well, I can't figure out just two! So let's pretend you opened 200! Now, if you opened 200 Wonka bars, apart from being dreadfully sick, you would have used up 20% of the 1000 Wonka bars, which is 15% half over again, 10%...

Monday night the shop owner at RIW asked me if i knew what the "bundle" was, i told her i didnt know anything about it but i assumed it was like a fat pack for magic.  Couldnt tell her what it was though...

Also, with no official announcement, how am i supposed to know about it?  Like, i'm about as plugged in as someone can be and i had no idea.  Thats not good, imo.

Ask Pam to check her email.  I sent an email to hobby stores last week with information on the epic collection, but I'll resend it to her.  It's possible her ISP is blocking the emails for some reason, in which case have her contact me so I know to try to figure out a work-around for RIW so Pam can receive these emails from me.

It's why we're getting a completely non-scourgewar related deck-box for the Sneak Peaks (which is fairly silly in my opinion).

Actually, this decision was made because we've received positive feedback about the class deckboxes.

Our marketing research shows players are using class deckboxes, by significant margins, more than previous set specific deckboxes.

Players want access to class deck boxes. With Sneak Previews, traditionally, being one of our highest attended events globally, it made sense to include a class deckbox as a prize players could acquire here.

If you have any feedback on this decision, feel free to email entertainment@upperdeck.com.

I think you misunderstood me. I don't think there's a problem with a class deckbox, except when it's a Priest deck-box. If it was a Death Knight deck-box I think people would probably be over-the-moon.

But maybe that's just my understanding of marketing. You release a new class yet give away something that is completely not related to the set...at a set specific event.

    I like the priest deckbox.

Also like class deckboxes WAY more then release deckboxes...cept the SoB one.

Re: How much Scourgewar you buyin'?

    Right on Roshen.

    Class deckboxes > Set deckboxes.

However, the Scourgewar one may be the best yet. But I have no problem with needing to buy the Epic collection to get one.

    Cheers.
