Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v2.22

If you reveal a hero and a card of another type you put both into your hand. If you reveal two heroes, you put them on the bottom of your deck.

    I don't see a problem.

Hehe, I'm liking how Illidan is described as "kind of a big deal", reminds me of Brian Kibler but of course he's left UDE.

Hoping to have a "revision history/what's new" page in wow_cr document soon.

Moorf edits the first post of this thread to show what's new and what's changed with the latest version of the comprehensive rules whenever a new version is released.

Re: WoW TCG Comprehensive Rules v3.0

    * The rules for reattaching a card in play and retargeting a card on the chain have been synchronized. In each case, that card's attach/target description is read from the perspective of that card's current controller (rather than the player doing the reattaching/retargeting). The applicable rules are:

400.6b If that description refers to “you,” it’s read from the perspective of that attachment’s controller (if it’s currently in play) or the player moving that attachment into play (if it’s not).

706.2 Some modifiers tell a player to “change” the single target of a link to a second target. To do so, that player targets that second target with that link, but its target description continues to be read from the perspective of that link’s controller (so “opposing” continues to mean opposed to that player, and so on).

This change seems sort of counter intuitive, at least the part about changing targets.  The example with Spell Reflection and Judgement of Wisdom being a prime example.  There are several cases where Spell Reflection used to do something, where now it does nothing at all.

Plus, every time Inventor's Focal Sword gets nerfed I cry a little inside. ;)
206.1b An Alliance player is one who controls an Alliance hero and a Horde player is one who controls a Horde hero.
Does this make players using the non-factioned Demon heroes Neutral Players, or just undefined?
307.4 Some locations have a capacity value in their lower right corner.
    You meant 306.4, right?
    706.5 Some links target randomly.
This is silly!  I approve. :)  I'm thinking maybe an example of finding the set of possible targets may be useful.  Probably with a card that targets a friendly/opposing/exhausted/whatever something.

I found an error.  The glossary entry for Interrupt has a rule reference to 710.1e, but 710 is the section on cards entering play.  710.1e specifically is for checking uniqueness violations.

so what is the exact defintion of playing a card
is it when you pay the cost of the card "so even when you counter it"
is it when a card goes from one zone to onther "and does the stack count as a zone"
or when the card finally resolves or enters play

See section 409 Playing Cards.  Mainly 409.1, but may as well read 409.2 just to be thorough.
