Re: MWS Patch Version 3.1 - Hunt for Illidan and Crafted Cards

If you did not install MWS to default location, this gets a bit more complicated.  First locate where MWS was installed to.  Once you locate that, make sure everything is in the correct sub-folder.  Assuming you installed to:

     c:\location

All the custom sets MUST be in the folder c:\location\custom sets

The master base file, "warcraft.mwbase" MUST be in the folder c:\location

The theme file, "default.mwtheme" MUST be in the folder c:\location\themes

Since I do not know where you installed MWS, change "c:\location" to whatever directory you installed MWS.

Tinytode, thanks for the patch. I'm on MWS now and could really use some more good players. The last few games I had:

    - I was accused of netdecking a Fizzlefreeze deck even though HFI isn't even legal yet.

    - Someone tried to Fizzle my 4-costed Arcane Missiles and was 100% sure it was legal.

    - Shodori running a deck that had Hellreaver, Nyn'jah, and Hur Shieldsmasher! You weren't kidding when you said you took a long break from this game.

    - Someone cried Rebirth broken and that druid is overpowered. He accused me of netdecking a horde druid control deck (I dare you to link to me a worthwhile horde druid control list).

What does HFI being legal yet have to do with anything? Jeremy's Fizzlefreeze deck has been on the front page for a week ...

Re: MWS Patch Version 3.1 - Hunt for Illidan and Crafted Cards

I'd play ya Kysuke, but as you know from the many times we've played, I'm not really a "good" player.  I know the rules, but I just can't build a decent deck.  Try bugging Markoff into playing.  I've been meaning to put together a "Good Player" list, and setting up a list of bad players.  Only problem with that and MWS, is anyone can change name too easily.  You should know better than anyone, as you had an imposter using your name for a while.  Maybe I'll just stick with the good player listing.  I was thinking along the lines of the ranking system in the trade files.  Any ideas, I'd appreciate it.

I wouldn't call a deck that's untested and hasn't won anything to be a netdeck. I didn't even read the full article. It does explain why Fizzlefreeze seems to getting quite a bit of hoopla lately. Damn you Jeremy for not letting me get a playset of Water Elemental for cheap!

Re: MWS Patch Version 3.1 - Hunt for Illidan and Crafted Cards

Is there a guide anywhere for using this to play WoW?

Curious about stuff like: how do I flip a quest face-down after cashing it in? After designating a target of an ability, how do I *get rid* of the arrow once it resolves?

Check out the Texas TCG Players forums.

Re: MWS Patch Version 3.1 - Hunt for Illidan and Crafted Cards

Calling someone a net decker for putting water elemental in a starcaller deck full of protector is a bit silly. Sure lots of people have built the same but that means you need to test with it more anyway. Wehn I played Kysuke in the mirror sure our decks were similar but i think we had at least 15 cards different.

Not really. I generally learnt by playing around with the interface in my spare time or asking people as I play.

To flip a quest. Right click on it and select "flip card over" or something similar to that anyway.

To get rid of arrows most people just change the game phase which is what all the buttons in the middle of the screen are for that most people dont use. If you do use them then you can just change it and then change it back again.

Ive installed everything into the default locations as above. All files seem to be present and accounted for but MWS doesnt seem to be picking up the new cards.

What are the correct libraries / inventories / master base files? Do i need to assign them in any particular way?

Re: MWS Patch Version 3.1 - Hunt for Illidan and Crafted Cards

If all the files are present, but MWS does not seem to be picking up the new cards, then re-download the master base file from the front page, run it choosing to overwrite the old master base file, then go into the deckbuilder program and choose "File, Open Libraries"  then select "Warcraft.mwbase"

Re: MWS Patch Version 3.1 - Hunt for Illidan and Crafted Cards

    Hiya!

Can the WoW TCG patch and the HFI patch be uploaded on another hosting site other than Rapidshare? Rapidshare is buggy in Singapore and almost every player here can't download it.

If it's free, I can host the files anywhere you want.  :)  I had the files on megaupload.com for a while until they started telling me I needed to pay a service fee.  If you have a site that you prefer, and is free, I will host the files there for you.
