    Re: [Official] Loot Card Information

Question for me is: How long are the cooldowns (if any) on the in-game item rewards?

    Re: [Official] Loot Card Information

I must say that I too was alittle shocked at the price for the point items, but then I realized that I'm in this for the TCG not a few minor in-game items that are purely cosmetic.  I've been waiting a few years for another card game to play (Decipher's Star Wars R.I.P.) and this one happened along, thank you UDE.

First the future point reward items are sounding great.  The token sets, foil versions, card sleeves, and other physical items sound like great additions.  If the point costs are low as stated they will be a very nice addition.

Secondly the addition of random value point cards is my favorite idea by far.  Just imagine going to a Tourny buy half a dozen boosters, hoping for just one epic or maybe ever an elusive LOOT card.  If you find the cards or not, win or lose at tourny you still have those 6 or so point cards to redeem....  this is where the fun begins anew.  Go home, boot up your comp, log on to the redeemtion site and input your codes.  And now for the moment of truth, will you get the point equivalent of an epic?? Or maybe even that 5000 point legendary??  This almost makes a whole new game, a Vegas style game perhaps, but you have to do what you must. I would be just as excited to find the high point card as any epic, since it would lead to cool loot in the end.

    Re: [Official] Loot Card Information

Well, I definately like what I see in this post.  One question of major concern to me is how limited the cards will be, for example, the tokens, foil lerroy, etc.  Will everyone be able to get them who have the points.... or the first few people to use all their points on say a foil lerroy are the only people able to obtain them?

I have built up almost 20,000 points already, but do not play WoW the online game at all.  I am planning along with a few friends to hit up tournaments to try to earn more points so I can get playable cards that can be used in conjunction with the ccg.  The only bad thing about the tournaments and higher point values for me is that for any decent sized playing field, my friends and I have to drive over an hour and a half usually 2 hours to find some type of competition.

I have seen places posted that host tournaments and such, and I myself work at a sports card and comic shop, and am wondering if there is any type of promos my friends and I could sign up for, to try to attract others to start playing and host tournaments ourselves.

Here are the questions in the short!

How limited will the cards be that you buy with points?

Will their be any kind of in store card prize support for say people who host tournaments and advertise the game to others?

    thanks for reading.

This is a great deal more than I would have expected, so thanks. It's all very professional and of the highest quality.

As for the extra points on cards, another fantastic idea - yet another reason to buy more packs :)

    Re: [Official] Loot Card Information

Sounds Awesome, I hope that some tournaments reach the northwest. I really can't wait to get a massive tourney going. I have to say that I too was surprised at how high the prizes cost were, but knowing I can earn them other ways than buying booster after booster is great. I also think the random "5000 points" cards would be awesome, even if it was 1k or something like that would make it more fun.

Damn, I can't believe it, I feel like I am playing for Decipher again like .hack and Megaman.  We actually get cool prizes for stuff we buy.  I never thought I would play another UDE game after I got done with Yu-Gi-Oh! three years ago.  Praise be to World of Warcraft and UDE for there brillant points scheme in the packs, and the LOOT cards.

    Re: [Official] Loot Card Information

It was previously stated that the cards available from the points program would be non foil evrsions of the cards you can get from treasure packs. Is this now being changed to actual loot packs as indicated by your post? If so this would be nice for groups who want to run the raid more then once without throwing down $30 each time (if they can even find multiple copies).

Thats something i'd like to hear a statement too. Cause i'll have to go to the swiss army starting in november for ten months, so i won't be able to check the Point News often. It would be really sad to see somthing gone before you even had the chance to get it.

That brings me to my next question.

Will there be a Newsletter every time a new item is in the shop? Would make it easier for people with not that much time on the net ^^

    Re: [Official] Loot Card Information

I think the idea of the random points is fantastic.  I know that the odds of players like myself ever being able to afford anything of value with the points are next to nil (sorry, but as nice as the wallpapers may be, most companies offer free wallpaper as a means of promoting their products... I'm not sure that I agree with selling them, but that's just my opinion).

I buy these cards for the cards however, so that I may play with my sons.  I've no intention of ever playing in any local tournaments, and my sons are happy to just play at home with each other and me.

That being said, I'd have never been able to buy anything that I believe is valuable with those points seeing as I will not be dropping thousands of dollars on cards (lest I never want to sleep in the same bed as my wife ever again).

So despite the fact that I am a strong advocate of the game, play is with great pleasure, I'd have lost out due to the fact that, like the kids that have tons of time on their hands ingame (raiders), I will not get any (as you stated) phat loot.  Lol.

That is not a whinning session though, merely a fact I am presenting.  I'm quite happy with the game and I am paying for the cards... I am thrilled with the game and think you guys have done a phenominal job on it.  The bonus would have been nice, though it is nothing to complain about (in my opinion).

Random point bonuses though would really help alieviate some of that inequity.

    Re: [Official] Loot Card Information

Great information there, Jeff! I can't wait to trick out my frost mages with those slick tabards. Only 100 more codes to enter before I hit the threshold.

One problem I'm having, about one out of every 50 points cards that I'm entering are giving me the message "This code has already been used". I find this odd as I'm the only one to see these cards and no I did not accidentally enter them twice. I've checked the codes to ensure I'm entering them properly and sent an e-mail to customer_service@upperdeck.com about the issue.

    Is this a known issue?
Is there anything else I should do or try?

All of the UDE point cards we tested worked fine, although sometimes the numbers can be a little hard to read.

Make sure you are aware of the difference between "B" and "8" since they are confused sometimes.
