Yeap, I was the one who ran my main man-lizard Obliv. Jax is right in that you don't find a whole lot of variation when it comes to Obliveron. Here's the thread I posted during NACC:
http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/community/forums/thread/1816302.aspx My decklist was modified after testing extensively on MWS, but the meat and potatoes are all there. If you're going to try it out I'd say the best advice is to play it with the Kil'zin mindset (i.e: Me rush, me burn, me refill, me win! KEK!) . Also, I'd recommend main-decking Crushing Shadows AND Arcing Smash if you can find room. Those were MVPs all day.
I also greatly missed having Tainted Earth for my match-up against Runetusk, so I'm going to try to fit it back into the sidedeck at least. I lost to the solid Runetusk/Voidfire discard deck in the swiss rounds, and I pulled out the narrowest of victories against him in the Semi-Finals to make Top 2. I have to mention how sweet my revenge was: Last ditch Crushing Shadows with him on 4 health remaining when all his cards in hand were Cost 4 and above. In another game I even managed to make him discard down to zero cards in hand. I think everyone who was in the room can attest to how epic a showdown that was!
Props to everyone who showed for the great games all day, and especially to Phil for agreeing to get us home at a reasonable hour. Not sure if I'll be able to set my sights on the Conquerer title, but regardless I look forward to seeing you all in Berkeley again soon!
P.S. To any UDE rep who might be reading this: If you can hook me up with an Obliveron Avatar I WILL be your best friend. If not, well that's too bad because I make a great friend. :P
