200.1 A card’s name is printed above its art. If a link, modifier, or cost refers to the name of its source, or any part of that name, it’s referring only to that source and not to any other card with that name. Such references are called “self-references.”

I would love to see someone try run this combo.  Has anyone noticed that it doesnt ready your hero??

P.S.  Right says "Another one of your Warglaives" so I dont think it refers to itself.

regardless its on turn 6 it will do 9 for 1 or 0 and can modify with heroic strike for another 6.  Throw in a last second gear upgrade and another 3 from ferocity token.

If it was an infinite swing combo, you wouldn't need to ready your hero. You can swing with the same weapon multiple times in the same combat if you have a way to ready it.

That's not the part we're talking about. We're talking about the part where it says 'When you strike with Warglaives......'. That's the part that is only referring to itself.

BTW: I think the deck looks pretty solid and I agree with running 4 of each of the Warglaives. I'll put this in my Worlds Gauntlet.

Yikes. Only just over 2 weeks to go.

    Cheers.

regardless of the infinity debate hows the deck look?

I like how you call it a debate when its really just a matter of you being wrong and the rules being right?

    But whatever.

Not to team up on Sheverash here, but I like how the argument seemed to be:
If it's not overpowered, then I should be able to ignore the rules that say I can't do it.  Nice.

    Re: Fallenstar warglaive concept.. thoughts?

Back to the deck. Toss Sibki's Pendant - not needed. Why Ciper of Damnation? I would go with Bane of the Illidari instead. How about Stronghold Gauntlets and Striker's Mark if you have any.

    Cheers.

When did I say it was a debate? In the quote that you felt like recalling I just said that I see that I was wrong. Was this just a poor attempt at a troll to up your post count or are you that selfconsious about your own inadequacies that feel the need to belittle people when the opportunity presents itself.

You took what I said out of context.  I said I was not aware that it didn't work. Had I been aware then I wouldn't be legal,  I wouldn't have been so presumptious as to flagrently disregard the rule. I was merely saying that it's not like it was soo overpowered that it was obviously bypassing a rule.

Thank you to the constructive comments made.  And I'm honored Manu that you feel it's worthwhile for your guantlet in any fashion in which you recreate it.

Edit.- And for the record I have been nothing but polite in this thread even thanking people for the links clarifying the rule for me.  Not sure where the angst came from but lets leave it on your side of the keyboard, and make this a somewhat productive thread.

    Re: Fallenstar warglaive concept.. thoughts?

    ok to go back on-topic.

    Hero: Fallenstar

    Abilities:22
    3 Gear Upgrade
    3 Heroic Strike
    3 Sudden Death
    3 Puncture
    3 Bloodrage
    3 wreck
    4 pummel

    Equipment:26
4 Warglaive of Azzinoth,Left Hand of the Betrayer
4 Warglaive of Azzinoth,Right Hand of the Betrayer
    4 Vindicator's Brand
    2 Borak's Belt of Bravery
    4 Stronghold Gauntlets
    2 Stormrage Signet Ring
    4 Black Felsteel Bracers
    2 Legplates of Wrath

    Quests:12

    4 The Cipher of Damnation
    4 Information Gathering
    2 Big Game Hunter
    2 Deep Sea Salvage

here is how I would play it,it focusses around the warglaives and nothing more than that wich is imo more solid than your deck idea where you have different combo's in 1 deck(bracers with steelsmith, bracers with girdle,...)
now listen I'm not trying to break you down,I'm just telling that this is how I see things.

The strong lay down only their weapons. The weak lay down their lives.

Rather than running 2x Legplates of Wrath, you should run 1x Legplates + 1x Golem Skull Helm.

Heroic strike would actually add 9 damage. You get to swing twice with the free glaive which means you get to hit them with the bonus twice. Same thing goes for Onslaught Girdle.

    This does not compute.

Hit them with the bonus twice? add 9 damage? Which is it?

I think it's 6 damage because you hit them with the bonus twice. Play Heroic strike on the Glaive that is going to get readied. Then you can strike twice with it for extra 6.

With the above decks, I really think Fallenstar is the wrong Hero. Seriously Lionar The Bloodcursed with 4 x Rak looks to be the way to go. Also, protectors are this deck's worst enemy, so Lionar's flip is very useful.
