I think what he means is that certain scenarios might allow more action cards per character, but standard Arena and Deathmatch scenarios will allow just 2.

I wonder if there will be any insanely powerful cards that will take up "both" action card spots, meaning you can only take that one card for that particular character.

Re: Gameplay Preview: Action Bar & Turn Order

    Here's my question:

On the type line, the "school" section: is this the "magic school" that a spell is from (Frost, Fire, Arcane, Nature, Holy, Shadow, or none), or the talent spec of the character using it (Balance, Marksmanship, Arms, Destruction, etc)?

For example, would a druid's Starfire be Arcane (since it's an arcane school spell), or Balance (since it's in the druid's balance tree)?

    WoW characters:
Jadorel, 70 Night Elf Druid, 44/0/17 spec, Agamaggan server; raiding character.
Sethala, 55 Blood Elf Mage, 5/41/0 spec, Rivendare server; PvP character.

    9. Talent Tree: This tells you which talent tree the Action Bar card is from. For example, Flash of Light is a Holy spell, Fire Blast is a Fire spell, and Mind Blast is a Shadow spell. The talent tree is a characteristic of the card that’s flavorful and sometimes relevant during gameplay.

Although the pointer says 'school', the text is accurate.

Relevant school information (damage types) are printed on the type line in parentheses, as shown on the Fire Blast card.

Starfire will have Type: Attack (Arcane) and Talent: Balance

    Ahh, ok.

Was just confusing because every spell listed as an example (ice barrier, flash of light, flame blast, and mind blast) happen to belong to a talent tree and a spell school with the same name.

I understand that each character can act at sertain ticks depending of what they did last time. But how do you decide which character will act first in same tic?

If more then one miniature are on the same tick, the miniature that moved last has to wait.

Re: Gameplay Preview: Action Bar & Turn Order

From what was said by someone who played a demo:

2 general rules: You alternate with your oponent when possible, inside a tick or when going from one tick to the other. You play your figs when you are the only one who has figs left on a given tick.

When the game begins, each player trows a dice, and someone (probably the highest) starts. Then you alternate players. (For the first tick, everone acts since everyone probably starts at tick 1). (Example: B wins the roll, so it goes like this B, A, B, A.)

In future ticks, you continue to alternate. For example, everyone (most likely) only moved on tick 1, so they are all now on tick 2. If player A played last on tick 1, player B will start tick 2. (In the above example, tick 2 will also go like this B, A, B, A)

If a player has no one on a given tick, the other player plays whatever he has on that tick. (On tick 3, one of A2 acted for 3 ticks, that brought him on tick 5, A1only moved and is now on tick 3; B1 and B2 both acted for 2 ticks, so they are both on tick 4. At tick 3, A1 acts even if player A is the one who played last on tick 2. Say he asts for 4 ticks, and is now on tick 7.)

If one player has more than one fig left after the alternating pattern is trough, the other player plays all he as left. (Example: On tick 4, B has both figs, and A has none. So B starts and then play his second fig. Say both only move, so they are now both on tick 5 with A2. Then since B finished tick 4, A will start tick 5 with A2. Then B will play both his figs.)

I think I covered all possibilities. Again, this is from another post I read here, by someone who played the demo.

EDIT: Another comment: So you don't have to remmeber which fig acted first or last, only which player played last.

If I'm not mistaken (which I often am...) that is what is said in one of the gameplay preview articles.  I will check later.  But that is definitely how it goes.

Welcome to the forums Curt. Quite a few of us are pretty pumped about this game. Guys like TehHuntre, Corle and myself are all pretty keen for info on the tournament scene, whereas I think Scylya (along with many others) is dead keen to do some Ony raids ;)
