Party All the Time - Marlowe Returns

Party All the Time - Marlowe Returns
    By Tony Faber

Everyone feared Marlowe Christophers upon release. Since then, he has failed to live up to the hype. Is it possible that Austin will finally give the dangerous Warlock his day in the sun? Tony investigates a figure that has been overshadowed by Mortimer for far too long!

Re: Party All the Time - Marlowe Returns

Hunters are far too viable on this map to run triple Marlowe. Marlowe was one of the first things I tested on this map and it proved a losing prospect. Substituting in a third model weakens the Marlowe in most matches.

Marlowe can win games, but not enough of them to bother taking him to a World Championship.

Marlowes just cant handle the epics on this map. Vajsh could kill two on one lycan turn. Jaina or Tyrande spamming thier epic ABC's can be overwhelming. Not to mention the high number of Flying Carine teams w/ paladin support that will show up. Its just too much for a 12pt gimmick to handle.

If flying Cairne shows up at any high rankings for Worlds, I demand that the team be called "When Cows Fly". Because that's when Cairne will be making good results in a tourney. When cows fly.

Too bad there's no 'piggish' race in WoW.

complete derail of tony's article... but our testing also led us in a full circle right back to warlocks. Not this one, but a warlock nonetheless.

Ok, now the derail: You know how sea creatures got kelp net, ensnare, and tidehunter crit; ogres throw rocks and can't be ticked up; Razzanis (sp?) got their teleports, and energy leech; most elementals got their strange ABC thing...

What would Quillboars get? Weren't they mostly Shamans and Warriors?

Didn't some Cairne top 8 some Nationals, BB? Eh, as you Canucks say, eh?

Quillboars would get some sort of magic resist, I think. They all have that online.

Also, yeah, for anyone who doesn't know, Dizdemona is pretty insane on this map.

Quillboars should get a 2 range AOE hitting everyone around them for ranged Quill damage! Can't remember if they did this in the game or not of any kind but I think it would be pretty cool.

Hunters, mages, and rogues as well.  The barrens had so many variants of the same race!  I think the shamans had a similar spell to the Roots that was not quite earthbind totem. They did, however, have Chen's empty keg.

Hopefully I will not have to return to the Barrens before Cataclysm hits...

    She seems selectively insane.

The Crit heal and range is really nice, but Hunters with Old Bones still mess her up.

She does seem to totally outclass the other warlocks for once though.
