    Tanaris (Colorado) Realm Championship

There is a website for this tournament at
    http://www.coloradowow.com
but it is not clear to me if there is just one WoW minis qualifier on Saturday, or if there are multiple as indicated on the UDE web pages at
    http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/OP/tournaments/article_blank.aspx?aid=5521

The kind folks at Valhalla's game center are quite sure there is an event this weekend, but "some guy" is running it.  So, if you are "that guy" and can answer the question about the number of qualifiers on Saturday I would appreciate knowing the answer.

Otherwise, I hope to meet some of you folks this weekend.  I'll be the guy with a fancy painted Sea Creature team, along with my son who I expect to be the youngest participant at the tournament (he is 7).  Yes, that means somebody out there might get eliminated from contention by a little kid.  You have been warned  :)

    Re: Tanaris (Colorado) Realm Championship

Just wanted to say thanks again to Jeff (aka "that guy") for running the tournament this weekend.

Max and I had a great time and I managed to succeed in my game plan of getting into the top 4 before being beaten yet again by Corle.  After 6 hours of pondering on the drive home I think I have a viable strategy for next time.

    Thanks,

Distract me with pretty girls? :-D

    Cuz, you know, that works.

Actually, I think if you had taken both ice blocks the 2nd game you would have won. But also, there are other sea creatures to test.

The pretty girl distraction is always viable.

I should have packed the double ice block double counterspell.  Even if you have the double purge you have to devote enough time to dealing with it that my Lady Vashj has a chance to remove some of your pieces or significantly damage your Lady Vashj.  Move forward, don't attack, see what you want to do about it.  Now that I have finally figured out Vassal I'll see if I can get you on a rematch.

Still, if I had managed to throw your 5 crits dice roll instead of my 2 hits things could have gotten interesting despite my mistakes.

And I'm mailing away for the crit boots this afternoon.  There is no doubt that they are superior to the Wrath of Air totem slot in my current ABC selection.

I would love to test some of the other sea creatures, but I have not managed to pull them yet.  With my big bag of trade bait it shouldn't be long before I have them.  Some of the pieces I used in Sealed gave me some more ideas to test as well.
