    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

Hey Jeremy... there seems to be some interest for the TCG from players at Comic Carnival.  I gave them my information so that they could contact me and I could more easily point them towards getting in contact with you.  One is a student from Purdue, but all of them call New Pal. home.  Is there any interest in starting up battlegrounds on the East side of town?  I think Comic Carnival would be up for it, if even a time or two a month.  You need to stay in contact with the manager sometimes to continually remind him about getting the kits and such, but he seems very willing to help promote the games.  If the crowds stay small, I could possibly run both minis and the TCG on Fridays from 6-8, but I'm already having to find a replacement for me for minis due to me being out of town quite a bit in the near future.  Anyway...

    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

I want to keep the intrest for the tcg going. I would rather get more people in at DTCW to grow the player base so I can give out even more and better prizes. Its hard when we have 4 people here and 4 people there.

How many players are there that want to play at Comic carnival for the tcg? How intrested are they? Do they have cards or just asking about the game? How much playing space do they have?

I can help here and there but me focusing on helping fort wayne IN and at DTCW will really strech me thin. So we can talk about and see what that stores goal is for OP with the tcg.

Best thing you can do is do some demos if they just learning the game and have them plan some time to at least come to a battleground that im at so they can ask me stuff and see the game from current players. Even pick up some expreince about decks and op. Then if they really want to put in the time to get a league going in there area thats fine or they may just like the battleground they visited. Also come checking out an elite event is good to so they can see the competive side of the game. They can stay around for a side event or play if they desire.

Keep in touch about this. Also have you decided to come help me with elite events in our area =).

    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

There were four players that were all together during this one instance.  I have had others ask as a new interest, but these four seemed to be current players.  They seemed quite interested, but have yet to get in contact with me.  Comic Carnival can offer space for about 20 players if you are playing during a dedicated time and no other games are going on.  More so letting you know about the interest was to let you know that I might point these guys in your direction when it comes to where they should play.  I'd be willing to help out, more than likely, if they just had to play closer than anderson or dtcw.  Helping out with elite events though?.... Eh, maybe.  Let me know what kind of help you need and when and I'll look into it.  I'm not currently certified with the TCG, but that can change.  For everyone else... thanks for keeping Indiana an active UDE community, and sorry for turning this into a personal thread for the past day.

    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

    Players,

Soon ill get an update on the battleground kits for Downtown comics west. Also let you know when ill be there to help him with the events. Im also looking to get some playing in. Ill be running the realm Q at Top Shelf games in FortWayne in Oct. I plan on doing the last realm Q in Nov at DTCWest also. After that the plan is for me to go to pastimes for the realm championship. No news on if DTCWest is getting the sneak peak kit for the end of Nov. I did let our UD rep know I would like to run an event there.

    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

I have lots of UDE cards and lots of free commons, uncommons, and a few free rares to give out. I wont be at DTCW on the 17th thats my sons birthday. Its great you have a new player to join us. If I get the word on anyone coming to the store this weekend he can come meet us there unless he is traveling with you. If anything try to get him to come on the 24 in Fort Wayne. Ill be there running that event and ill hook him up there.

    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

Tanner, you're encroaching on my 40 RCQ points!!  I got to step up my game, I guess.  Season turning away from block kind of soured me on driving the distance to many of these events.

I'm probably way busy until the rcqs towards the end of the month.  Austin this weekend... I'm just going for the bbq.

    I have much raw mineral.

    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

I have been driving down to Indy and staying with Tanner to go to any of the events (DTCW/Anderson) on the weekends. Does anyone know if anything WoW TCG Related goes on up here in Lafayette?

    Thanks!

    Re: Indiana Gaming Thread

Yes there is a thread somewhere about it. It just started a couple of weeks ago. Try searching for Lafayette and you should find it.
