Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

The stats and text of a token ally are determined by the card creating the token. Regardless of what is on the "official" token, the Treant will only have ferocity if the card making them says so.

They accidentally made the Misha token with a red border and a Horde flag, but that didn't make it a Horde ally, because Rexxar did not say it made it a Horde ally.

No they don't have always Ferocity, only if it's clearly stated on the card.

i know you're probably 80% right, i thought the same way too but I wanted confirmation from UDE because they printed the Official Treant token plus they called the token in BOG Treant as well instead of something else

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

Hi guys, just a few things I'd like a bit of clarification on please :)

    1) When a card comes back into play, via either Redemption or Boat to Booty Bay, does it come back in exhausted?

    2) When a card says "attach to target player, that player is untargetable" does that mean Hero, Ally, both, etc?

    3) Can a Greater chain lightning target the same target twice? I.e. i have three allies, and my hero is untargetable. Can my opponent pick two of my allies twice?

    Cheers!

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

    1. All cards enter play ready unless otherwise stated.

    2. I don't believe there is a card that attaches to a player. A player represents the actual person playing the cards and not he hero or any ally in their party.

    3. A single card cannot target the same thing twice. Your opponent has to pick distinct targets.

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

Ok, not attaches, i meant Blessing of Salvation:

"Ongoing: When Blessing of Salvation enters play, choose a friendly player.
    That player is untargetable."

Does that mean all his cards are untargetable?

Or is it things like "target player discards a card"

And as for entering play ready, i know allies from your hand come into unable to attack or use exhaust powers, but they can use payment powers, is that just from your hand? From anywhere else they come in ready?

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

It means the player, and only the player, is Untargetable. So if you have something that targets a player, you wouldn't be able to target the player under the effect of Blessing of Salvation.
And as for entering play ready, i know allies from your hand come into unable to attack or use exhaust powers, but they can use payment powers, is that just from your hand?
No, in order to attack or use an activated power(a payment power with the exhaust symbol as part of its cost) the ally in question must have been under your control continously since the start of your most recent turn. This restriction only applies to allies.
From anywhere else they come in ready?
It doesn't mater where the card comes from, when it enters play it does so ready.

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

It is the player himself that is untargetable, not any of his cards. So, it will stop anything that targets the player such as "Target player discards a card" like you mentioned.

All cards enter play ready, whether they were played from your hand or brought into play from your graveyard or any other method of them entering play. The restriction of not being able to attack or use activated powers immediately doesn't mean they enter play exhausted. They still enter play ready, they simply can't attack or use activated powers.

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

Ok, i get it about the target player, thanks.

I should really be clearer about what i mean...I know allies come in "ready", but cant attack or use payment powers that require you to exhaust them. They can still use powers that are pure payment, and dont require that they be exhausted to use, right?

So when i bring an ally back from my Boat to Booty Bay, he comes in "ready" but cant attack etc, as if id just played him from my hand, correct?

Correct. It doesn't matter how the ally entered play, they are still subject to that restriction.

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

Thanks for the answers guys :) A few more please if you would, both regarding legality:

    1) I understand you cant have Alliance cards in a Horde deck and vice versa. What about when Ishanah gains control of an opposing ally, or when Reghar gains control of opposing ally, and you and that ally are different factions? Wont this create a violation? What about if that ally dies, does it go in my graveyard or my opponents? And what if it goes in mine, then i shuffle my graveyard into my deck?

    2) Can things like Inventors Focal Sword steal class specific buffs, i.e. Power Word: Fortitude, and put it on a non priest?

    Cheers!

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

    1. Faction requirements (Horde/Alliance) are only important when building your deck. If you manage to take control of or a play a card that normally wouldn't be legal for your deck, that's fine. The card works as normal.

Whenever a card goes to a non-play zone (graveyard, hand, deck, etc.) it goes to its owner's copy of that zone. A card's owner is the player in whose deck the card started the game. So, if you take control of your opponent's ally and that ally is destroyed, the card still goes to your opponent's graveyard. Note: A few cards specifically change the owner of a card.

    2. Yes. But, for that matter, you can attach Power Word: Fortitude to any class of character. You don't have to attach it to a priest when you initially play it.

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

    1) Restrictions only apply during deckbuilding. If at any time you have control of a card or play a card that doesn't match your faction, class etc, that is a perfectly legal move.

Whenever a card is sent to a graveyard, it goes to it's owner's graveyard, not controller's graveyard. So if an ally you gain control of with Ishanah is destroyed, it goes to the opponent's graveyard.

    2) Yes, that again, is legal, for the same reasons as above.

Re: Official FAQ (Blood of Gladiators)

    Another quick thing!

"At the start of your turn, target ally has +2 atk/-2 health this turn"

So, if i target an opposing ally protector with 2 health or less, does that mean the are instantly killed?
