I can see it now, people who complain for hunters to get equipment destruction receive equipment destruction, and feel gipped. Also I only count 2 stings available currently: Serpent and Viper. This card will mean at least another will be created.

And in the Enlightenment style of reading card text before card cost..... seems like a fun card. Does have a similar problem (of Enlightenment) that it has to wait around for a turn....

He did mention a new Sting, Scorpid Sting. I like this new take on Hunters, however it needs too much to get going.

Since you mention Enlightenment, I think Dr. Boom. Hmm... maybe Utopia Druid doesn't need Illidan anymore!!!

So for Chimera Shot you need to have a Sting in play? LAME
    If it was
Choose one: destroy dude, destroy equip, destroy resource. Choose another for each different Sting you have.
it would be awesome (for Hunter)

I agree, or if Viper Sting did not cost 4 to play then it would be much more viable.

The DK ability is pretty nifty, especially if your rocking a token deck of sorts. This is particularly nasty against druids who rely on a barrage of tree ents.

Agreed. I'd have expected this kind of forced jank restriction if it wasn't Marksmanship Hero only. Although we don't know what the 3rd Sting is...?

What happens with this Great Ring if opposing hero makes himself untargetable - you must kill yourself ? - Great Father Winter combo ?

Just cannot beleive the restriction on that Hunter Card :-((

13 resources for a win condition on Druid seems negligible. After all, you only need 1-2 Brigand's Vests, Hibernates or Utopia, or even a Gladiator set and you are there.

I agree, hopefully the third sting will be something useful.

Seems like it would be easier to win other ways, more efficiently and quickly, rather than attempt to give someone else your ring, make, yourself untargetable, and effectively force them to destroy their own hero as a result of the effect...

Yeah, but then it would actually be usefull, this way it fits hunter better, designing cards around other unplayable cards is good strategy.

Judging from the online game, the scorpid sting might reduce the ATK of attached hero or something along those lines?

    Re: Scourgewar - A Gunslinger's Glimpse

First thought: These cards are cool and exciting - can't wait for the sneak preview!

Second thought: I really don't want to jump on the "WTF is up with Hunters getting the shaft" train but man...

On the assumption that Scorpid Sting is playable: We have a 2 card non-instant combo to destroy target equipment for hunter...

*pulls out Shattering Blow* Yep, you're still good.

    Re: Scourgewar - A Gunslinger's Glimpse

    Nice first thought there.

As for the second one, eh... I guess Hunters could have gotten better tools during these last sets, but notice one thing: they've been consistently adding subtle powers to Hunter. I guess it's just a matter of time until the class will achieve a critical mass of cards and will explode into Constructed. (And we'll be seeing just Hunters everywhere...) So, all of you tournament players, be careful what you wish for.

Chimera Shot will be made better with time (and more Stings) - it's still playable (just not that fast), since it relies on abilities and not allies to stay on the board (also, notice that Spell Suppression doesn't impact the tag of Sting) - I think Serpent Sting will still be the most decent with it.
(I, for one, see Spoils of the Hunt as more immediately impacting Hunter, though).

On the other cards, just a few thoughts: Dragonflight Great-Ring begs for You, Robot!, a quest which could go in Ramp-up Druid.

Army of the Dead is pure card advantage <=> very good - which was necessary, given Death Knight's limited card pool. First deck type that this made me think of was DK Ally Rush. On second thought, if DK Ally Rush would be successful, it wouldn't need Army of the Dead. Hence TRoB: Blue Brothers/Swift Discipline and DK control is more likely.

Dianne Cannings is just one of those synergistic cards that will be a welcome addition to any non-spellcaster (not Mage/Priest/Warlock) armor reliant deck (that is, mostly control Druid or Rogue - Wastewalker anyone? - some Shaman with Quickstrider Mocassins, and a splash of obscure Paladin/Warrior). Very nice stats for its cost and also neutral.

King Dred's Helm is good, in the vein of most armors as of late, though nothing too special - best with same turn flip (i.e. cheap flips - which means that mostly Alliance heroes will benefit from it. The question is this: is it worthwile to blow Azarak Wolfblood's flip just for a free activation of the helm? :)) And would then Dawn Ravensdale be worthwile along with Slashdance in such a deck? Meh, I think it would be just a fun deck in the end - which is the ultimate purpose of any deck, mind you)

On that same note, Zombie Encrusted Finger provides more relief to otherwise tension-packed Constructed events, in the vein of Slashdance, Chen Stormstout and good ol' Leeroy. If only one could dual-wield it :)) - (No, not you Mother Misery, it's a Wand!). A nice wand to have for those "if your hero dealt damage" or "if you control an equipment" conditions --> belongs more to combo-ish decks

Living Bomb is more useful as a bait for ability removal than anything else. 10 counters is too much to hope for at this stage of the cardpool. Blizzard until the end? Neeah...

Good thing Druids have the same fix as Priests for that very problem.
