    Fillet-stick

This just went through my brain last night, and wanted to see what everyone thought...

    Fillet, Knee Capper Extaordinaire
    Ixamos the Redeemed
    Ixamos the Redeemed

    ABCs:
    Felsteel Boomstick
    Sunder Armor
    Breakthrough
    Healing Wave x 2
    Chain Heal x 2
    Grounding Totem
    Stoneclaw Totem

With two Heroisims, two ticks in a row, plus some good healing available, which if timed right, could be for a lot less ticks than the 3 for the full Healing Wave, I think this could be one heck of a way to pump up Fillet and keep him rolling.

Anyway, just a thought that I had and thought I'd share it with the community at large for your opinions.

    Re: Fillet-stick

It certainly seems worth trying.  If the name of the game is keep Fillet alive 'til he can get those tokens going, then 2x Healing Wave and 2x Chain Heal would seem to go a long way towards that.  Plus, of course, he would basically gain and extra 2 token for the 2 Heroisms.  So if Fillet gets his first attack on tick 2, then on tick 4 he would be attacking with 5 dice and 2 ticks (6 dice on tick 6, 7 dice on tick 8.  How fast can he be killed?)

Of course, Fillet and Ixamos are the only 2 rare models that I still don't own (Also still don't have Rexxar, Jaina and KT)

    Master Tactician and Rexxar...

    Re: Fillet-stick

i agree.. glad to see sombody's using ixamos as a piece worth testing for serious play

the party looks solid.. i almost wonder though if stoneclaw totem is worth it.. possibly another grounding totem to help keep fillet alive longer from magic attacks

    Re: Fillet-stick

First off, I think it’s a very interesting team. Since I’ve started playing, both Ixamos and Fillet have intrigued me. Why not put them together right? Especially when it seems like they’d compliment each other well.

Second, as good as the grounding totem is, stoneclaw against the right match up (such as a dralor team, something with a lot of in your face melee attacks) can be devastating. People don’t seem to be expecting it, plus it essentially wastes one of your enemy’s attacks. Anything that can disrupt my opponent’s plans is all right in my book. Stoneclaw can do that quite well if played properly.

I like 2 x grounding totem, but the stoneclaw is very game shifting when you are facing melee heavy teams, which I think will be part of Realms with the KOTH scenario.

I'm gonna check it out on Vassal a few times and see what's up, but if anyone else play tests it, please let me know, I think it's got a shot to be an interesting and fun team, if not competitive.

No ignorane at all, I didn't follow it at first when I saw it either, but what itdoes, is that if for any reason, Fillet is unable to be within 1 range of people, he can attack with the boomstick, and NOT loose a coutner for Rage Depletion. Pretty nifty shifty.

I think the more important pc is that his counters get added to his gun attack as well since it is physical and not just melee.

    Re: Fillet-stick

Quite awhile ago I've actually tried a fun team with Fillet-stick which could be viable, just not against the big boys.

    Fillet, Knee Capper Extraordinaire

    Graccus

    Zaritha

    ABCs:

    Felsteel Boomstick

    Bulwark of Azzinoth

    Charge

    Flash of Light

    Avenger's Shield

    Cleanse

    Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros

    Wrath of Air Totem

    Chain Heal

The idea is roughly the same except for Heroism, with an added Bulwark as an additional source of getting counters rather than the Melee attack. Graccus help soak and deal auto damage through Sulfuras, while Zaritha has pretty heals from Chain Heal and her OCH. WoA totem becomes essentially a healing totem. Perhaps this can represent a good comparison for making Fillet-stick parties.

Sounds fun... Bulwark is an interesting idea as well. So he gets a +1 counter for armor and a +1 coutner for attack when an attack crits on him. Talk about no one wanting to crit!?

PS - I love your signature! Glad they worked out for ya!

It's nice that you can use Bulwark on Graccus and keep change Ragnaros for Zaritha.

    Re: Fillet-stick

I actually had something like this in mind but I was actually looking for a good behind-fillet-character that would really force (or in some cases, attract) your opponents to come after that fig..probably a heavy shooter whose really fragile like a mage...

    Gnome Warrior—Fury, 3A 1R 10H
Crul'shorukh, Edge of Chaos [T2R1P3] (Melee) <p> After this attack, put a [Physical] +1 counter on Fillet.
    [Crit]: Damage +1.
Enrage: When an attack crits against Fillet, put a [Physical] +1 counter on him.
Rage Depletion: At the end of Fillet's turn, remove a [Physical] +1 counter if he didn't attack this turn.

Yellow details how he gets counters from his attack, and only his main attack.
Red outlines how enemies can give him counters.
Blue explains what happens if he doesn't use some form of attack by the end of his turn.
