Do you know of a LGS that hosts battlegrounds?  If so, you might be able to get a map from them.  That's what we do at our store for new players.

Not that I know of.  Any questions are typically answered pretty quickly here on the forums though.

    Re: Thinking of Starting

The only indication of whether a miniature is from Core or Spoils is at the base of the miniature (not the character cards). Miniatures indicates which set they derive from followed by its rarity. For example, Goblin Shredder and Tempest-Forge Destroyer are indicated as such:

    Goblin Shredder
    Core - R
    UDAC3508

    Tempest-Forge Destroyer
    Spoils - C
    UDAC0709

Alternatively, you might just want to go to WowMinisDb and check the character cards in accordance to the set.

Some people learn, some people don't. For me, I can never correct myself to say Julia Graves as opposed to Julia Roberts

    Re: Thinking of Starting

HTX is a common, non-epic, team.  Haruka and Thangal as well as whoever else.  Sometimes another Haruka, or a Daxin, all kinds of options there.  Not sure on the prices though.

    Re: Thinking of Starting

if Haruka is h and thangal is t who is x

    Re: Thinking of Starting

X is some other character period.... The team is built around H and T being together though.  Sometimes people add another Haruka.. I've seen Morova and Daxin added to those two as well though.  I'm sure there are plenty of other combinations as well.

    Re: Thinking of Starting

That's still a bit above his budget, for 20$ a pop or so per Haruka, not to mention the minis needed to catch Healing Wave and Chain Heal. Thangal itself is about 12$ or so too. All told, starting from scratch and assuming he needs some extra commons to get cards, I'm seeing this as a 70$ or so warband...

Ironically, I think that's one of the cheapest tier 1 warbands. Though this compares really well with other games (Tier 1 Magic decks are in the 300-400$ range).

    Re: Thinking of Starting

I found them on sites for $7-$8 a piece here, but that is with their normal cards.  Not certain as to whether they were in stock though.

    - Edit
Also not considering shipping and such.
