How did you get your hands on one yesterday? They had events in Turin on the Thursday?

I'm supposed to get (at least) two in Boston so no deal on me. If you're in Turin right this instant, talk with Michael Poszgay's crew. I heard they're looking at getting a truckload of them for their entire team and their friends (they all very much do love their triple Warlocks teams).

Oh I see. They didn't have them on site at Singapore and mailed them? Guess you can't get in touch with Poszgay in Turin then . ;)

Re: Mortimer the Malign: how much will you pay for it?

If you're asking whether selling the first copy of a promo available to anyone not at Singapore would be lucrative, I'm going to have to go with "yes."

But the supply is going to skyrocket somewhere in the vicinity of today, so you might want to get on that.

As for myself, 0$.  Anyone going to any of the next few DMFs is going to automatically have 3+ of these guys.  That's not going to stop other people from paying shocking amounts of money to have it now, however.

I wouldn't pay more than $40 because at the end of the day it still just plastic

    The trade list...

i still wouldn't pay that much

he's a pretty decent warlock.. but nothing that's $40 worth.. because he's not on par with an epic in power.. i'd say he's worth $25 (US) at most

at least that's the most i'd ever pay for a rare.. even then that's a bit steep

Depends on whether he's coming out in the next set. If so, nothing.

Mortimer is an exclusive, only available from DMFs.

Which is why many people will get away with charging 25 bucks for him, typically. I cant be 100% certain, but I think that's the fee for most qualifiers, and that's the only way to get him other than buying or trading.

    Cheers!

Re: Mortimer the Malign: how much will you pay for it?

Hmm, for Singapore case. Mortimer is only given to the invitees for DMF Champs, as such you probably see a marked up value for him. However as it is stated as an entry gift for the qualifiers for the other DMF, the pricing would be around $25 as stated by Sig.

For me, I'm keeping the warlock. I just like his angst expression.

Some people learn, some people don't. For me, I can never correct myself to say Julia Graves as opposed to Julia Roberts

Re: Mortimer the Malign: how much will you pay for it?

Look, Deathwatcher still goes for 40+ US$ on eBay. I traded my extra for an epic. And it's a terrible, unplayable mini. You have to take into account that it doesn't cost 25$ to get one. It costs 25$ plus hotel and airfare.

Mortimer is very playable, and I know a bunch of us DMF top 8 players are trying to get three of him (thus reducing further the amount available on the market). On the flipside, it's likely to be out there in more copies than the Deathwatcher. So it's hard to tell right now how much it's gonna be. I think it's gonna be real high right after Boston, and drop a bit down in price after each DMF.

Re: Mortimer the Malign: how much will you pay for it?

    Yeap I agree.

Though the price may be lower at the moment, but Mortimer is definitely more playable and considering the frequency of DMFs, there will be probably more Mortimers than Deathwatchers.

But for collectors, i don't think they really care whether it is more playable. But whether it looks nice to display, they would just wanna get their hands on one :)

also the Deathwatcher was exclusive to only "Realm Champs".. Mortimer is exclusive to Darkmoon Faires (which there are a lot more of) so the market will be flooded with him in no time
