I hope you didn't give them any money on that because since GAMA we've known that it's on 'indefinite hiatus'.

(Like I said to the people who complained about the price tag back then: either it was going to be this expensive or it wasn't going to be produced. I guess they went for option B.)

There are still a good number on online retailers who have it up for pre-order. I'm wondering if UDE has made any kind of official announcement to retailers on the status of Onyxia.

As someone who played a Goblin Shredder into a t8, I'm surprised to hear you say this. I think we both know the meta is neither stagnant or resolved.

As someone who played a Goblin Shredder into a t8, I'm surprised to hear you say this. I think we both know the meta is neither stagnant or resolved.

It is. Nothing beats Jaina Zoo that isn't a huge liability against at least two out of the other three pillars of the meta (Vashj, HHT, 'locks), and on this map Jaina is the best of the four. And believe me, I've tried a *whole lot* of really off the wall stuff to find something. Either bring Jaina Zoo at Boston or figure on getting eliminated by one of the people who plays Vashj/HHT/locks because they're more comfortable playing those than Zoo.

Also, Goblin Shredder choice was made assuming there would be a lot more Hunters in Charlotte than they were, and the 'locks matchup is BAD. I was banking on beating what beats Warlocks, and was faced with a meta where Warlocks was the dominant species and nobody was feeding off them. My only loss on the Day 2 before top 8 was against Kialas, I was just very lucky not to meet any of the locks team except Bleakhearts, which is a much more winnable variant. Finally, the one BIG team I met (which is an unwinnable matchup for Fog, in theory) was played by a really iffy player who basically gave me the game through play errors (triangle formation against two EFS's? thanks, but WTF?). If I was redoing Charlotte, I wouldn't be playing Shredder.

I actually *would* have maybe played Fog at Boston (figuring that losing to the new HHT Brick variant is an acceptable risk if I'm not playing in Europe), and then they released the one thing that makes the team completly unplayable, i.e. a Hunter's answer to Goblin Ingenuity. The only reason to play Fog is that you've got so-so matches against everything and something close to an auto-win against hunters (and Vashj, I guess, though the 'locks are still a pain even if they have 3 Resist in lieu of 4). It's perfect for a skewed meta, but if the one 'auto-win' you had has a solution, there's no point at all.

I only play rogue warbands if I can help it. But I'm playing an established 'netdeck' at Boston. Because there's nothing rogue that can win in the current meta.
