• Re: Discussion: Pre-Seting a Deck or Legal Shuffling

1934077: 1745047:randomly adjusting back your deck(without stacking)...just to ensure you dont draw all monsters or all S/Ts?....is this allowed at all? This right here is pretty much the definition of stacking. Adjusting your deck to ensure anything is stacking. If you know or have a general idea of where cards are or aren't then ...

  • Re: Discussion: Topics for Seminars at Premier Events

@ Garren, I think it's a great idea to try and help out players before the event or even after. I'm interested to know the results. In particular, the following:When did you do it? (Before the Event or After)If it was before registration or during registration, what was your guestimte at number of players around? (I know a lot of

  • Re: Discussion: Judges Comp for working Premiere events

366390: I'm not going to totally agree with the above post. It's the TO's / PTO's responsability to see the the judges are fairly compensated. ''Fairly'' shouldn't mean that a TO / PTO gives you nothing if they feel like it because you're a volunteer. Being fairly compensated isn't a ''unspoken rule'' Obviously what is ''fair'' to one is quite ...

  • Re: Colossal Fighter vs Colossal Fighter - Is it an infinite loop or controlled?

842510:that would cause both of them to receive another penalty for failure to resolve mandatory effects and creating a damaged game state. I can't find these infractions anywhere in the penalty guidelines let alone what the penalties/fixes for such infractions may be. On a serious note; The game state if i'm reading the OP correctly is not ...

  • Re: Colossal Fighter vs Colossal Fighter - Is it an infinite loop or controlled?

This is not actually a ''loop'' the players are actively choosing to perform the same action over and over again. A loop is where the game performs the same action over and over again because of something that a player has done. In this scenario, we're talking slow play at a minimum to start.

  • Re: Discussion: Handling a situation dealing with multiple cards with similar names

842510:It is actually a real misprint, just so you know. There were a series of Tribute to the Doomed that had Marauding Captain as the printed name. If a player were playing with cards that were misprinted with the intent to misrepresent those cards to his opponent he'd most certainly be getting DQ'd. Best case scenario is that he's ...

  • Re: Discussion: Seminars at premier events

1587995:Prior to a premier event, the Head Judge should make time for players that might have rulings questions. In addition, I personally hang up ''Player Responsibilities'' and ''Specific Card Rulings'' so that players have access to it. You don't need to devote 30 minutes to educate the players all at once. You can definitely ...

  • Re: Discussion: Topics for Seminars at Premier Events

855774:I thought of something else that is a big problem and has been for a while now. What about Premier Tournament Organizer's not having certain product to award to judges and not mailing it to them after event. I know this has happened several times, and I know many judges that won't help now because of it. I know I have as well as many other ...

One of those changes is that UDE is asking us to hand out fewer booster packs to our volunteers, but they are replacing it with some special items. The new scale isLevel 1: ½ of a box, a playmat, and an exclusive parallel foil rare.Level 2: 1 box, a playmat, and an exclusive parallel foil rare.Level 3: 2 boxes, a playmat, and an exclusive parallel ...

348351:How about a twist?Suppose the player with Prohibition delcares ''Luster Dragon'' and points to the one he wants. What should we do? I'm not sure what you mean by points to the one he wants. If you mean that by a game mechanic he's seen that his opponent has a luster dragon level 2 in his hand. Then plays prohibition and says ...
