Historic—All cards are legal.
Standard—Only missions from the two latest sets are legal.

As we can't seem to get an official answer I want to check what the popular view is. Can Promotional Missions not released in sets be used in a tournament where you bring 3 missions? I've listed the most likely possibilities, and these possibilities can be combined. Personally I think it's B and C.

A. Promotional Missions cannot be used.

B. Promotional Missions can be used when the TO sets the mission.

C. Promotional Missions can be used in Historic tournaments.

D. Promotional Missions can be used in all tournaments.

Tournament Organizer: Level 1

Hello, for standard tournaments we will tie promotional missions to the booster set that was newest when it was last used in a tournament. For example, Tomb of the Undead will be legal as long as missions from LGS are legal.

In Historic tournaments, any promotional mission can be used.
