    Stardust Dragon vs. Magical Dimension

Can Stardust Dragon negate the effect of Magical Dimension which destroys a monster?  I'm pretty sure it cannot because the destruction effect is optional, but I just want to make sure.  Thanks!

You do not choose whether you want to destroy a Monster until Magial Dimension resolves, so you cannot chain Stardust Dragon's effect.

Re: Stardust Dragon vs. Magical Dimension

magical dimension is a may or may not destruction effect. as said, the choice is made at resolution, which is to late to chain anything.

The Duelist Genisis Rulings: Stardust Dragon:

"Stardust Dragon's" first effect cannot be chained to an effect that may or may not destroy card(s) on the field, like "Barrel Dragon" or "Snipe Hunter".
