    How Thanos works?

    Hello,

I got a card named Thanos (Marvel Origins / Non-affiliated) who said "Whenever Thanos attacks, KO half the opponent characters. Round Down", but how exactly this ability works?

Example: Thanos is in the field... He must get a legal target to attack, and point to Prof. Xavier (cost 7 / X-men starter) who gives +2 DEF to all X-men in support row and +2 ATK to X-men characters in front Row. The opponent has 6 characters in play (3 X-men and 3 Brotherhood). Thanos go to attack and the effect happens... The opponent KO 3 character he control, but one of those 3 is Prof. Xavier... What happen? Thanos Ready again and try another legal target an again KO half of the opposition? Or He is exhausted and the attack is lost?

The Thanos effect triggers before he goes to attack and after he name the target? Can you tell me how this awesome effect works when he faces plot twists like Nice try or Trial by Jury?

    Thanks in advance,

    Alessandro Franzen / Brazil

    Re: How Thanos works?

    Thanos, Alpha and Omega (MHG-208R)
    Character, 8, 20/20, Flight, Range
Cosmic: Whenever Thanos attacks, each opponent KO's half the characters he controls, rounded down.

    a) If your opponent KO's the defender, as the attack concludes Thanos is readied. He may attack again, and if he does, his power will trigger.

    b) Thanos's has a triggered power that places a triggered effect on the chain. It can't be affected by Nice Try! or Trial by Jury.

    Nice Try! (MSM-064R)
    Plot Twist, 2
Negate target plot twist or payment effect targeting a Spider-Friends character you control.

    Trial by Jury (MTU-043R)
    Plot Twist, 3
Negate target plot twist or non-activated payment effect an opponent controls targeting a Spider-Friends character you control. If that character is named Spider-Man, it gets +2 DEF this turn.
