Need Help: How to run Swiss Rounds than cut to a Playoff

I was wondering is there a way to hold a Yugioh Tourney on Manties were it is Swiss for so many Rounds then drop ever one but the Top 4 or Top 8 Players and have a Single Elimination with Brackets

The reason I am asking is because the place we hold our tourneys change the Hrs of the store and we can only have the store for 2 hrs to hold toruneys and the most we normal get is 10 Players but we been geting a lot of new players now and So with the time limted I was wondering if this could be done or should only a Single Elimination tourney should be done

I was hopeing there was a way to do this  as a lot of the new players are young kids that i wanted to give them also a far shot

    But thank you

Well a lot of players did not show up in fact only 4 Poeple showed up for this one so I held 2 rounds of Swiss  and

    Re: Is there a way

That is actually the standard format and Mantis handles it fine.

Just create the tournament and run the swiss rounds like you normally would, then when you are ready to cut to the top 4 or 8 instead of clicking the Pair Round X button click the Playoff button. It will give you the option to select how many people will be in the playoff and generate a bracket for single elimination.

    Re: Is there a way

You mention that you only have 2 hours for your event.  Is there another event taking place the other hours of the day?  I'm glad you haven't given up on running events.  Is there another day of the week that you can change to so you have more time?  Don't give up!  Without the influx of new players and young players, this game might not last more than another year or so.  Any time you need to discuss issues like this, these forums are there to help.

    Re: Is there a way

The Owner told us it was the only times we could have it

Every Tuseday 6 to 8 because they close at 8

It is a restrunt that is leting us hold them

and Tuesday Nights is the slow nights so it the only nights and Time she would ok

I talk to the other players and they are ok with having 30 min rounds or even 20 mins if 30 mins prove to still take to long

but I think 30 should do fine normal no all of your duelst even take 20 mins for a round but I think 30 will give them all a little leave way  thank you all for your help I hope we can get a differnt place or set something up

We so far only had 1 tourney there and only 4 people showed up for it so it was only a 2 round tourney but it was ok

thank you for all your help
