    Remove started round

I was letting the owner of the store where we play each weekend get familar with Mantis, and we encountered a problem we couldn't figure out how to solve. We played a 3 round tournament but after the results for round 3 were entered he clicked pair round 4, thinking that it wouldn't matter. We got the standings as that is not affected until the next fully reported round, but when I went to close the tournament and upload the results, Mantis wouldn't let me press the Close Tournament button. After testing some things with an unsanctioned test tournament I noticed problems with cutting to top 8 if you accidentally pair for a new round as well. Since the number of rounds you play change from week to week depending on how many players show up and you're frequently short on time to get things done, it's very easy to click that button.

Surely there must be some way to delete a round from a tournament?

    Re: Remove started round

The only way I was able to un-pair a round was to close the event and open another, enter the data up to the mishap then delete the event from the archive.  You may want to ask Charsky if this isn't feasable to you.

    Re: Remove started round

I'm at work and don't have Mantis on here, but Mantis makes a backup of each round and you can go somewhere and load the prior round's backup to 'undo' an accidental pairing.

If you don't get someone else explaining it then I'll try to post how to do it this weekend.
