I don't think this has been asked for yet, so here it goes.

Is their a way that MANTIS could have the suspended list incorporated within it's database so if a player attempts to enter a tournament it would warn you of the suspension?  I know there is a suspended list you can see, but if it could be incorporated in the player database as a downloadable add-on it would be great.

I think this is a great suggestion but it is my understanding that TOs are informed when players local to them are placed on the suspended/banned list.

With the new link going up for the suspended list, I'd like to readdress this request. I'm a TO, though not at the premier level, but haven't received "suspended" updates for those in our area...

Thus, I think it would be GREAT if our local tournaments entries would somehow throw a warning if an ID on the list is entered in MANTIS.

I have put in this request a few times already.  It seems that if they are able to put an asterisk (*) next to a player with Pro Points, it shouldn't be much harder to find a way to identify someone who is suspended.

I am sure they will get to it during their next software update.

I would like to see this too, but in reality it is easy to get around at the local level at least - if the infraction was not something extraordinary.  There are a number of people who have the same name within a large city or its area, so you cannot go just by name - you have to go by UDE number. So the player would just go a another shop and sign up getting a new UDE number and - Voila - new player is not suspended.  Give it a year (maybe even 6 months) and people at the premier events will have forgotten most likely and you are in the play again.

That which does not kill me, just royally pisses me off!

This would be incredibly helpful in that it will help local stores and some other people that are generally not completely aware of who is on the Suspended list, to keep the suspended players from playing in the Yugioh events. Not many people keep up with the current suspended players list to my knowledge.

Those who are suspended shouldn't have any rights in any tourneys except privately ran ones. That's my personal opinion. There has to be a reason why they were suspended from tourneys, and it's obviously a good reason. Why give them the right to participate in any UDE-staffed tourney, Sanctioned or not, when they might repeat that same crime?

Could they add a "check box" like they have the "pro" flag?  This way when you perform a monthly global player list update, it will mark all suspended players and show them with some type of signal, like red name letters! I know it would mean every Mantis program being updated.  As for TOs being notified of suspended players in their area, I haven't seen this occur yet.  That's another reason I created this post.  I'm glad you like and would like to see this too Frank.

Again I think we all agree this would be a great tool. It would not be too hard for UDe to get it to all of the TO's anyways they could just mail another updated disc out to the TO's.

Though I cannot answer for Upper Deck, we will probably just have to wait until the next MANTIS update comes around and see if they have added any new toys for us to play with.
