I cheat, then I think.
I roll up to 9 dice at a time with Starfire on Bog Elemental and can achieve upwards of seven or eight 1s at a time on a regular basis.
That is to say, I noticed that if I simply took the dice into my hand in a certain order, "shook" them with two hands by sliding my hands against eachother, then spilled them out onto the table, I could consistantly eliminate 1s from my rolls in what ammounts to an inverse of my natural ability to roll 1s with one-handed rolling.
This sliding method of randomization is in fact a method of what I feel is cheating that I developed in rolling for D10-based White Wolf games.
Thus, from a Judging perspective, we need the ability to call players on their rolling methods if we spot what we deem to be a lack of randomization in their dice rolling. If we find ourselves getting a response from an obsinate player that equates to "gtfo" then we need to have some enforceable rules behind us when he go to penalize them.
Note: I'm sharing my technique since I won't be competing at DMF:Charlotte. Before learning that, it was just my way of following the only established rules on rolling.
Cheers!
