    Thanks,

We stayed up about 12 hours for a banlist that doesn't touch Allure of Darkness, which is single handedly the only reason Magical Explosion FTK is going to dominate the TCG for the next six months...

No offense, but this is a joke of a list. I mean right now I think I should just trade in all my American Cards for Japanese versions, go to japan, and play there. At least ME FTK won't be common there cause it doesn't got an uber fast deck build thanks to 1 overpowered card which fuels D.Fusion OTK, and I get my precious Light Lords 2-3 months early.

    Re: Ban List discussion

Magical Explosion is WAY overrated and defeated by 1 simple card:  DD Crow.  So really, if you think that that will be the most potent threat in the TCG for the next 6 months, then really you haven't seen everything else that's playable.

Personally I love the changes, or rather (for practical purposes) the lack of changes.  It shows more of an initiative to let the players dictate the meta rather than the list.  Bringing back a card like Monster Reborn is actually genius.  For all the power it gives you, it can just as easily be used against you.  Plus it is nice to be able to use some of these cards again.

The only other change I might have would have been making Imperial Order to Restricted as well.  With the fact that Jinzo is unrestricted (and Royal Decree still at 2) you begin to get into a guessing game as to whether or not to gamble on running Trap Cards are not (since really, getting off your trap cards will usually give you the win more often than not).  Imperial Order provides a bit of an equalizer to the bit of the likely rampant spell use that will occur and there still would be plenty of ways to deal with it.  This way you also have a bit of a counter part to allowing the powerful spell cards like Monster Reborn which might let them be playable again too.

But all and all, for all the changes that could have been made, I really appreciate the lack of changes that were made.  Sometimes the best move possible is the lack of one.

    Re: Ban List discussion

Magical Explosion FTK is as consistent as Magical Scientist FTK.

Thanks for ruining what could have been the best SJC in Costa Mesa. You make these great prizes and all this great stuff then drop the ball and release the most idiotic Ban List I have ever seen. There were some good changes made but the fact that Magical Explosion has made 15% more consistent by this Ban List is a shame.

This is a sad day for this game. I hope it doesn't loss more than 20% of its player base due to this list.

Hmm...So let's see....Cyber-Stein was banned mid-format but that was a christmas present if I remember correctly. Are we getting an Easter present this year?

And how would one crow do ANYTHING vs ME FTK? Please, enlighten me. The best you can do is crow the spell they try to grab they DMOC, but 3/40 is still 3/40, unlikely especially on an opening hand.

If you run RFG, they'll gladly just rely on RFG engine  (DDM, D.Fusion) and go to a side deck which is an anti-anti meta call (Which me and a Friend developed, whether or not that side deck becomes well known has yet to be seen, considering neither of us have announced it).

If they open, you lose, and with an 85+% chance of lost. Anyone who says otherwise needs a review of their decks. Crow, wow, -200/400/600 damage at best in all honesty. Semiing Magical Stone Excavation does NOT help any either.

After it ruins the entire Summer of Yu-Gi-Oh? Traveling becomes 10x more realistic for most people in the Summer. Its a joke if they expect average people to pay 150$ and drive 6 hours to play in a 5 hour SJC where 65% of the decks end the game within 2 turns.

    Re: Ban List discussion

First off my thanks to Alex, Jeff and everyone involved for posting the list on the Judge's forum while UDE gets their website with the new banned list running. I'm certain there are a lot of people who are very appreciative for the post.

I wasn't surprised by the list. Others made references to some of the possible changes which were only verified by the list. It's an interesting game and the changes certainly provide variety as far as I am concerned.

    Enjoy
