Oh cool. I've only ever seen the whole "If the attack of this card is higher than the defense, inflict battle damage yatta yatta" effect. Why don't they just simplify all those cards that way? Is that the only card that uses that terminology?

I wished we used Trample like in MTG rather than writing the whole thing out.

According to the Wikia, it is our version of Trample, and it's supposedly understood as such.. Then why is Cyberdark Horn the only card ever printed with that wording? Very weird. They errata cards all the time, sometimes just making the text more clear, and usually shorter. Which is shorter?

This card inflicts Piercing damage.

OR

During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent.

I think it's because UDE intends on advertising this as a children's card game and forgets to realize that it's mostly teens and adults who play this game.
