this list stinks, It is a piece of lemon! It is a joke! UDE is kidding!

It is a crazy list... ban call of  the haunted but limit monster reborn? in which mind does it go?

It is a copy of the OCG list, and it seems ude does not think that  Japan and the TCG are not the same worlds concerning to this game. the way of playing is totally different!

    madness !!!!

1 other misconception that people seem to keep insisting here.  It's not that the list is the "same as the OCG list".  By in large, there is only 1 list except for a few minor exceptions over the years.  The only reason why the OCG gets it "first" is because V-Jump publishes the list in Japan AND some people get the magazine early (just like how some people get Shonen Jump here early).  So that is why that tends to be the "early" advance notice of it.  But as far as when Konami released the list, well that would have been today too.

Further, (as had been stated in the past), both companies submit a list on what they want to see changed to each other, and then they negotiate and compromise to come up with the 1 list.

This is just a friendly reminder that this discussion is to remain civil.

You are free to talk about how good or bad this list is, but please keep any negative or derrogatory comments towards UDE out of this thread.

Feel free to email them to UDE though.

Or, just yell at your monitor screen for a few minutes....whatever makes you feel better.

And frankly I don't know where you keep getting your "85%" from.  Face it, you still need luck involved.

Oh, and if you main 3 Crows in a 40 card deck, the odds on you drawing at least 1 in 5 cards is 34% and if you went first, it's just under 40%.  Doesn't seem like my chances on killing that 1 card you need that much are not all that slim after all.

    Re: Ban List discussion

It's not fair to us. Why would you ever keep people waiting for this long when the list was known from the beginning that it had no changes from what we saw?

I don't understand why someone could not have just posted a thread this morning stating that "technical difficulties were present but just to let you know, the OCG list is the official one."

    Re: Ban List discussion

Eh gads people like to overreact.
From a local Meta point of view these changes are good. All the kids that love the TV shows will love being able to use Monster Reborn again.
As for the valley deck. I don't expect we will see many here, Cyber Valley, Dark Magician of Chaos, Allure of Darkness, Destiny Draw are all very expensive cards, so there are only a few people that could even afford to make the deck here (and a few that could afford to won't, as they prefer decks that actually take skill).
Of our locals, the few that I would expect might use the deck, if they can get it built, will use it once to qual for Nats and then change decks.

Don't under estimate the people who play for fun.....

Between Me (about 25), and two friends (1 is about 50 duels now, another is about 20 himself), there's only been like 8-12 loses between the three of us using our ME FTK decks. That's 8-12/95

    Re: Ban List discussion

You and 2 friends.  Sorry if I don't exactly consider that to be a wide reflection of the dueling scenarios.  If you came out and said that you've been winning actual tournaments and that's what you saw, then it might have more credence.  Win in play testing aren't quite the same.  Anyway, I will stick with my initial thoughts.  This was probably about the best they could have done to give the players the option on how they want to dictate the meta for 6 months and ME might be 1 strong deck, but it will be far from the only one.

You all just made us wait more than half a day for not one change?

That's disgusting to the people that buy your product. Absolutely disgusting. Thanks for nothing UDE. I was hoping to go to my first regional this time around, and now I would rather quit the game all together. I can honestly now see you have no consideration for consumer opinions...

    Well hello thar!

Your statement really is quite idiotic and actually just a bundle of words stringed together in an attempt to sound like your taking the moral high ground in what in essense a game for fun. Apparently my mate has a friend who went to business school and it makes perfect sense to cater for people who don't buy things and slate the company, especially people who haven't participated in that much organised play.

Ever considered that children, who want to play copies of monster reborn and actually buy packs, were catered for in this instance?

You have my senseless rant all wrong. I was angry not over the list itself, but the fact that they knew about these changes, or lack of, from the OCG list all day and yet they continued to make us wait and wait for nothing except what most have already seen...

    Think of it this way:

Its like standing outside a Target Store for over 6 hours while the people inside are setting up, and then they come out and say "Sorry guy, we dont have Wii or PS3. But hey, we can sell you this Gamecube and PS2 you have already seen..."

The list has a lot of problems, but I can work with it. Its the fact in how they presented it to us I have a big problem with...

    Re: Ban List discussion

Remember that its Konami's list, not just UDE's.
As to the wait, they told us there was website issues which delayed the posting of the Ban List.
If you mean the Delay between the OCG and the TCG there technically wasn't much delay Since the 21st is also the Official Release date for the OCG list. (The V-Jump list was obtained early as I believe people who have a subscription to the mag receive it a few days before the Street date.)

So barring website issues (which the did update us about) this has been a fairly seamless Ban List release.

We have plenty of time to get use to the ban list here, as not many people are willing to put a Yugi torn on the same day (March 1) as the Spectral Tiger event, so it's a week or so before we see it used in tournaments here.

Again, I'll repeat what I said earlier.  The OCG list wasn't officially released until TODAY.  That's when it went up on Konami's Website.  The only reason why we heard what it was earlier was because it was published in a magazine that some people had received earlier.

So, you are going to criticize the fact that the companies set a date to officially release the information?  Or should they have said ahead of time that "yes, there's nothing new compared to the early leaked information"?  So blame V-Jump if you want to blame anyone on letting the info come out early.  It's not UDE's fault that they didn't say anything until the day they were supposed to.

    Re: Ban List discussion

    You're not getting it...

This info didn't need a revision. It was and still is not on the official yugioh website. So my question is this: WHY did it take more than 3/4 of the day to place on this website?

I am done arguing. My question is valid. It was a questionable approach to make us wait this long for disappointment. I am sorry, but I am disappointed and whatever you say won't take that fact away. I will say I don't fully blame UDE at all, but I stand by my point that they should have posted it earlier. From what I heard, there was no malfunction on this website, only on yugioh-card. And since 1/2 the fans were here, it would have been so painless to post it here. That's all.
