Essentially, it could be like another Premium Pack, just with (cough) better cards (cough).

I love the idea. Given the general idea people have accepted that UDE hates their players, this would be a good idea to change their minds.

If we get "The Hanged Man" I sure as Kuriboh won't be complaining.

Yeah, but you guys are overlooking the fact that we can't just make a pack. Konami has to get involved in things like this. Dunno why everyone keeps saying UDE hates their players.

    Re: An Idea for UDE

Well I am pretty sure both Upper Deck and Blizzard Entertainment love their WOW players, online and with the TCG and soon the minis.

I am also sure that Upper Deck and Konami appreciate (another word for doesn't hate) their YuGiOh! players in all their manifestations (collectors, casual duelists, online duelists, game system duelists, organized play duelists, ...)

Just as Simon says, the WoW events/players don't seem to have as many problems as YuGiOh! events/players.  I guess when players do mature they move onto other games or other activities (college, marriage, full-time job).

Please do try to enjoy the game.

And we all (at least the good ones of us) love you, Julia.  You're a veritable goddess for the fact that you're willing to "dirty yourself" by showing you read and respond on the forums.

And We know you care Julia,  it's just a shame more UDE Reps don't show the same level of interaction with us.   I mean,   we don't bite.

Actually, to treat at as a not-rhetorical question, I think it's because I've already got the "interacting with the players" background and mentality from all the years judging and writing for Metagame.

Plus, I used to volunteer for WOTC back in the Pokemon days, and I really appreciated the time and effort the Master Trainers would put into talking to the player base, and listening to what they have to say.

Incidentally I did run into Leighton at Taco Bell (urk) and described the thread topic to him. We'll see.

    Re: An Idea for UDE

    You're welcome!

Seriously, if any of you are ever at a convention etc. and Leighton is in attendance, try and find a few minutes to talk to him. The guy is really dedicated to the brand, you all are lucky to have someone like him in a position to have some influence on what we actually get. Leighton actually came on board from the Demo Team years and years and years back, and hasn't lost his enjoyment of the game yet.

    Re: An Idea for UDE

Maybe point him in the direction of the Create-a-card thread while you're at it?   How sweet would it be if some of our cards were picked each year to be some of the next TCG exclusives?
