Hi All,

My question is about the number of each card in a players deck. Most people know that a player can have up to 3 copies of the same card in their decks. What about cards that have the same name but different actions. For example:

Metagolem (from pack) "If you have cards in your hand when I come into play eliminate me.

Metagolem (promo) "To the rescue - in round 5 or later, I can move up to 3 zones.

Or

Grier (from pack) "Recruitter - At the start of each round, reveal the top card of your deck. If it's a Suit card, put it into my zone. If not, put it into your discard pile.

Grier (promo) "Growth Energy - When I come into play put a +1 ATK and +1 DEF counter on target friendly minor hero.

Each card has the same name but has different actions. Can a player have three of each, basically allowing them to have 6 Metagolems or Griers in their deck? 

Huntik Comp Rules - 100.3:

A deck for Constructed play can include no more than three copies of the same card. Cards are the same if they have the same name and version. Decks for Limited play can include any number of copies of the same card. This rule applies only while building a deck.

The cards you have mentioned, might have the same name, but have different versions. This means that you can run 3 copies of each of those cards.

Metagolem (Icon of History) is the one from the pack.

Metagolem (Stone Giant) is the Promo.

Grier (Loyal to the Core) is the one from the pack.

Grier (Organization Commader) is the Promo.
