Heralds of Galactus and Infinity gems...

    Hello people,

This is a question about RED SHIFT (cost 5 - Heralds of Galactus / Concealed). This power text said, remove ALL atackers and defenders from the game and place them back in the recovery phase in the front row... So, this means the Red Shift can open a way to my other heralds to strike directly against the opposing player?

The situation is like this... Red Shift is on hidden area and I had Thanos (Infinity Watch / cost 6) under my control in the visible area. I´m fighting against Teen titans/Crisis team who had at least 6 character in play, including Superboy Yellow sun Armor (cost 7). I place the Soul Gem on Thanos in my recruit phase and I dont had any other character in my hand that can survive the assault. I had the priority and Red Shift attacks first...

In this scenario, Red shift remove all foes from the game and mine too? Red Shift goes out too OR he can delivery the atk 10 he has directly on the opponent endurance? If he only remove the opponents and himself, Thanos is free to attack? Or Red Shift will be removd from game because he is a attacker too and no futher attacks can be made this round?

Another one, IF Red Shift is left alone in the hidden area, and don´t atack this turn when my opponent uses legion lost against me, Red shift can be target as normal, but the power will be activated?

In another situation, Thanos equipped with the Soul Gem Stuns a character with cost 6 or less after his attack. But Superboy <> Yellow sun armor is on the field... So what happen to the stunned character? He is put on KO by the Superboy power or he will be placed on the hand of his owner as Soul gem text said?

    Thanks for the help,

Re: Heralds of Galactus and Infinity gems...

ok, First Red Shift states that if he attacks you remove may all attackers and defenders. That is refering to during the actual combat step when there are attackers and defenders and only of Red Shift is one of the attackers. Any character that is NOT involved in that combat is not an attacker or a defender. So if Red Shift attacks one of your opponent's characters and if you use that power, then it will remove Red Shift and the one character that Red Shift was attacking. (I think that answers almost all of your Red shift questions)

In your last scenario it will depend on who is attacking and who is defending. If Thanos is attacking then his Soul Gem's power will go on the chain first and Superboy's power will go on the chain afterward meaning that Superboy's power resolves first. If Thanos is defending then Soul Gem's power goes on the chain after Superboy's meaning Soul Gem's power will resolve first.

Re: Heralds of Galactus and Infinity gems...

Thanks, man. This will help a lot!

By the way, what happen to the equipment equipped on the target character that RED SHIFT removed from game? The controller player must KO the equipment when this come back to the field after the effect resolves or all cards appear as normal without any harm?

When Red shift attacks a character, his attack can stun the target when the cards come back from the rift OR Red Shift must choose deliver damage  (and receive damage as well)  or phase out with his victim?

In this scenario, Red Shift (Atk 10 / Def 9) will make a move against Ultron 5 (MAV-150; Atk 20, Def 20). He can remove Ultron 5 from Game without hurt itself or the player must find a way to boost up his defense to avoid being stunned by ultron and loose his cosmic counter before Red Shift use his ability? What happen with the two when they come out from the rift? Both will be fine and Red Shift will be exhausted only OR Red Shift will appear stunned after the power resolves?

Thanks again for all the help.

Re: Heralds of Galactus and Infinity gems...

Equipment can not be on the field unless it is attached to a character. So any time a character leaves play (either removed from the game or returned to the hand) any equipment will be KO'd (because there is nothing for it to be attached to).

Characters are removed from play before combat resolves. therefore neither one will be stunned. After they leave play that combat step resolves and ends. When they characters return, they are not in combat. When any card comes into play unless the effect says otherwise, the card comes in ready. Since Red Shift does not specify, then they come back ready.
