Surprisingly enough, there were only around 60 people. Most of the decks I saw, were other Glad Beast decks. I saw a few Tele-DAD and Lightsworn decks. Here are my results from the regional.
Round 1 Me vs GB 2-1 (1-0)
Round 2 Me vs GB 2-1 (2-0)
Round 3 Me vs GB 2-0 (3-0)
Round 4 Me vs Lightsworn 0-2 (3-1)
Round 5 Me vs GB 2-0 (4-1)
Round 6 Me vs Lightsworn 2-1 (5-1) This one, I admit, I should've lost game 3. How I pulled off the win was that I forced him to play out more of his milling Lightsworn monsters (Lumina, Ryko, Ehren + Garoth). After his 5th turn, he decked himself out.
Before top 8, I was 3rd Seat. That's right, I made top 8...with Glad Beasts. But I wasn't done there.
Top 8 Me vs Lightsworn 2-0 (6-1) I admit, this guy probably had the worst luck with his opening hands. That plus game one, Spirit Reaper picked Honest and Judgment Dragon out of his hand.
Needless to say, it was a good day. Top 4 just split the prizes, so we got 13 packs each and we got out before 5:00.
"Another victory for America!"
